WE 1911 Jamming
« on: July 31, 2011, 01:38:21 PM »
My WE 1911a1's slide gets stuck in place when cycling, and it's starting to concern me. It fires a few rounds normally, then locks up and becomes extremely difficult to move the slide. This hasn't been a problem in the past, and just started recently. Has anyone had this problem before, or any ideas how to fix it? Thanks

My thoughts exactly. Does anyone know what parts exactly are causing this to happen?

Might be the seal or nozzle

I sprayed some silicone in the loading nozzle, and it really didn't seem to help very much. Also, this happens for all of the magazines that I own, so I'm pretty sure it's the gun itself.

EDIT: I think I figured out part of the problem: the loading nozzle doesn't seem to go back all the way when cycling; what exactly is causing this?

Try buying a new nozzel. If that doesn't work you can go online and buy a whole blowback system for it gor pretty cheap. I think evike has them. Same with my socom gear 1911 not the best parts.

I had the same problem with mine. The end cap on the barrel slid to the side and caught on the side causing the slide not to come back all the way. Look and see if the cap is bent and if so replace it.

check where the slide gets stuck. I had a problem where it would stick to the hammer.

Yes, Red Devil has this right. After an extremely thorough cleaning, the problem stopped altogether. I attribute dirt as the main cause, so this thread can now die in peace.
