Site Suggestions / PM Indicator?
« on: August 20, 2003, 01:01:08 PM »
Hey, Paco, would it be possible to make the PM Inbox notice more noticable when you have new messages? Like make it a size bigger with a brighter color?

Accessories & Gear / G3 Magazine options
« on: May 12, 2003, 09:21:14 PM »
Hey, all. I just won this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31684&item=3607696658

And I was wondering what your recommendations on G3 mag options (and carrying options) are, if I'm looking at a budget of about $115 for everything (mags, vest, whatever). Did search, didn't find anything (it's highly possible I'm a nincompoop at that), appreciate your help.

On another note, Paco, is your eBay name airsoftarizona?

General Airsoft Discussion / Out of commission...
« on: April 09, 2003, 03:58:36 PM »
Hey, all. I know most of the Phoenix guys don't know me at all, but I've got sad news. For the next 6 weeks or more, I will not be playing airsoft. Yesterday, I fell with my full weight (187 lbs.) on my left wrist during touch football at school. I broke my wrist with a clean break down one of those long arm bones. I just got a cast today, which will not come off for 6 weeks. This is short, because I can't type worth a Para Ordnance with only one hand.

Hey! There's a team called NAASO (Northern Arizona Airsoft Special Operatives) that Wolf and I lead, here's the website:

http://naasoairsoft.cjb.net

Check it out, I just got a new suggestion form set up, and tell me what you think.

PS: Yes, I realize there is a pop-up, I'm working on getting a different URL redirection service.

Gas Powered Guns / Lasers?
« on: July 20, 2002, 12:01:13 PM »
I'm pondering buying a sidearm (Namely, a Glock 19). I'm also interested in either a flashlight or a laser (more interested in a laser). however, I do want to know everyone's opinion on them, as they will cause eye damage if pointed there. I have read the rules, and see nothing prohibiting lasers, but I just want to be clear about it (not really AA games, but all others), before I go and splurge $50 on a CA laser for the Glock.

Accessories & Gear / Mask modification
« on: March 05, 2002, 06:09:54 PM »
I like to wear a boonie hat. However, wearing a full-face mask (as per the rules for minors) prevents me, because the top part juts up onto the hat. Would it be OK in games to cut off a portion of the top, allowing me to wear a hat?

Accessories & Gear / Sansei Mask?
« on: February 21, 2002, 07:02:21 PM »
I'm looking at WGCS right now, looking for a low-price, OK mask. I was wondering what you guys think about the Sansei full mask. It's the $22 one. Also, rules-wise, would it be useable at the AA games? I know the rule is ones that they would let you use at a paintball park, but I was just wondering...

Thanks in advance!

Actually, Rainbow Six 3 for X-Box is practically a completely different game from RS3: Raven Shield for PC. In the X-Box version, you only get Chavez, Weber, Louiselle, and Prince. All of the character models are vastly improved, the AI is much better, and there is no planning phase. There's voice control, and you can order your team to do a ton of different things. Also, in case you haven't noticed, it doesn't have the Raven Shield designation, so other than weapon models, I'm not sure what's the same, other than the story.

I just watched the video (new computer with dial-up, hadn't had time to DL QT), and I thought it was good coverage for airsoft, especially with what Mark was sneaking in there about the emphasis not being to shoot each other, but to build bonds and improve teamwork. I also heard through the ASP grape vine that X-Play on TechTV will be doing a short segment on airsoft assisted by the BAASH guys. It's set to air Tuesday August 26 at 11:30(?)PM PST (cable time, not sure about satellite). Would it be possible for someone who's going to be available to tape it/put in on their hard drive and be kind enough to encode and post it?

Yellowmonkey, I must say, that hands-down (at least in the systems I've seen and heard about), that you would be better off buying an Asus A7Vn8X basic than an Epox mobo.

So true... So true. Yellowmonkey, I would say to go with the 9700. Or, at the time you buy, if you can, the 9800. There have been far fewer documented problems with the ATI DX9 cards than the FX cards.

Oh... the things that get all giddy about signing my cast because they think it's fun and then forget that I exist 5 minutes later... [:P] Ken, I highly doubt he can do anything to make my mind more corrupt... [:D] I'll try and focus my brain waves on getting it healed, and hopefully be back with a vengeance in 6 weeks.
