Airsoft Items FOR SALE / Guns, Guns, and more Guns!!!
« on: January 17, 2014, 08:12:23 PM »
Some of you may remember me, others, not so much. It's been a while and I have been out of the loop. I have way too much stuff and need to clear some of it out. Here is some of the stuff I am willing to let go as of now.

PLEASE READ! I don't want to get questions for answers that are already stated in the post. I would like to keep clutter and repeated questions to a minimum. I will do my best to describe everything. If something is unclear, feel free to ask questions, but please read all posts in the thread. Someone may have already asked your question. All prices will be obo unless otherwise noted. If you are reasonable with me, I will be reasonable with you. I would also like to keep trades to a minimum. Unless you have something truly unique or amazing, cash only. No mags are included with the guns unless otherwise noted. However, if you would like one or more, I have them available. If a gun has a FPS rating with it, it tested in firing condition. If there is no chrono reading, the gun did not fire.

All prices on guns are negotiable to a point, please keep offers reasonable.

I am located in Surprise, AZ. Unless you are spending over $100, don't expect me to drive all over the valley to meet you.

Real Firearms / Armalite AR-50 ???
« on: July 22, 2012, 11:57:49 AM »
Hi all, I have some quick questions for anyone who knows this rifle. What is their typical used value? Are they reliable or something to stay away from? he reason I ask is because someone has offer one up in a trade situation for a car I have for sale. I will be starting into a real steel collection soon, however, this isn't exactly how I would have started out. I am always intrigued by stuff that is not so common so I am fairly interested in it. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Come one, come all! It is the event you have all been waiting for. Buy, sell, trade, it's an Airsoft swap-meet for us on the west side of the valley.

Location: Fightertown Paintball and Airsoft Park
Date: Saturday March 10, 2012
Time: 8AM

Depending on how many people show up, this will most likely have to be set up in the parking lot but those details can be worked out as the day draws closer. If you intend to show up with your own stuff to sell, bring your own table(s), or truck tailgate or whatever you want to use. We want to leave the tables in the staging area for their purpose, and for the players. Don't count on having tables available for you to use for displaying your stuff. Again, BRING YOUR OWN TABLES, CHAIRS, EZ-UPS, ETC.

Please post up if you plan to attend with stuff to sell, and only if you are 100% sure you will show. I will do my beat to keep an updated list so prospective attendees can see how this event appeals to them. Please don't post up if you are planning to show up, but without anything to sell, or if you are not sure if you can make it. Posts like, "I will see if I can get a ride," or,"I will be there 'cause I'm looking for a new gun," will only clutter up this thread. If none of this makes any sense, then just show up and feast your eyes on more airsoft stuff than you will know what to do with.

Vendors, sellers, peddlers, or whatever you want to be called...

8am should work out just fine since there is also going to be a game there as well. Like usual, some people will roll in later though. In order to stay out of the way of the players at the field participants in the swapmeet should migrate towards the parking lot area near fields 3 and 4. We will most likely have everyone lined up along the berm of the off-road track so we are out of the way. Bring a table, tailgate, chairs, or whatever else you feel you may need.

As for selling guidelines, this is an AIRSOFT swapmeet so I hope nobody plans on dealing in real steel. If it isn't used for airsoft in some way, don't bring it. Orange tips would be recommended, but not everyone has them so display your bb slingers with caution, and just use common sense. If something seems like it might be a bad idea, it probably is. Let's all be on our best behavior, we don't want to kill the possibility of making this a regular(annual) event. Keep an eye on your stuff. I hope nobody has any sticky fingers, but it wouldn't be the first time. Myself and Fightertown can't be held responsible if you let your stuff walk away. If you have lots of stuff, bring an extra friend or two to help watch over your stuff.

NO SHOOTING OUTSIDE OF THE FIELDS NETTING!!!
NO DRY-FIRE OUTSIDE OF THE FIELDS NETTING!!!
NO TESTING OUTSIDE OF THE FIELDS NETTING!!!

Figure out if your stuff works or not, before you take it to Fightertown.

I have posted this on the event calender and in the game section as I think that is a better section for something like this. Please go to the link below to post up.

Accessories & Gear / Mag Saver, pistol mag velcro cover?
« on: July 20, 2011, 10:55:38 PM »
I have been looking around for that last couple hours looking for what I thought I remember being called the mag saver, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It is the elastic band that goes around the pistol grip and has velcro flaps that attach under the mag to keep it from dropping out unexpectedly. Anyone know the actual name of it or where to find one?

Too much stuff has been acquired so it is up for grabs.

I regularly attend games at Fighter Town so if you want to see something in person or purchase something and want me to bring it just let me know.

I am willing to make package deals/combo deals so the more you buy, the more you save. I am really trying to move the gun parts so no reasonable offers on parts will be refused. All prices are OBO unless otherwise noted.

Gear Box Service:

I am also starting to do gear box work for people. I am in the west valley for those of you who are in the west valley as well and don't feel like driving all the way down to Gearbox. I have done enough on my own guns that I am confident enough to work on the guns of others. I am not doing too much custom stuff like swiss cheesing pistons, but I can do other stuff like swapping springs, shimming gears, troubleshooting, and much more. You can supply the parts or I can order them for you, I will usually have typical replacement parts on hand(stock and upgrade). I have a chrono so you can see your FPS and ROF before and after a specific modification(no, I will not chrono your gun unless I am working on it, sorry). I do also work for a living so I can't promise instant service, but I will do my best to get it done in a timely manner. I am willing to work out a deal with you if you need something done asap. Just send me a PM and let me know what you would like done and I will let you know if I can help you out.

AEG's / Couple of questions about high rof
« on: February 07, 2011, 11:39:31 PM »
I am toying with the idea of diving into a high rof build. I am looking to hit the 40 rps mark without a DSG which shouldn't be too difficult. It is making it last that is the key. Anyway, I am looking into the Extreme-Fire mosfets and would like some feedback from actual users. Is it worth the extra $30 to go with a Cheetah over the AB-Long?

Also, I have read a few times that version 3 gearboxes are a little stronger than the version 2. Just looking at the two, I would have to agree, but I have not pushed either gearbox hard enough to get a catastrophic failure.

I am looking for first hand experience, so if you just want to say, "I think you should buy this(enter random part here) cause it looks cool," please don't. Thanks in advance for any help or insight.

Troubleshooting / Echo 1 M14 gearbox binds up
« on: January 19, 2011, 12:02:01 AM »
I have an Echo 1 M14 that out of the blue seemed to lock up with a 9.6v. Decided to put a battery with some guts to it(11.1v 30c) to see if it would turn over and it does, but at a very slow rate. Like maybe 8 rps. Any suggestions or ideas before I take the time to open it up?

AEG's / New Systema A to Z motor
« on: December 06, 2010, 01:37:50 AM »
Has anyone picked one up or heard any news on them yet? Not sure how you can get the best of both worlds with no compromise without going brushless, which isn't even practical for airsoft.

Accessories & Gear / Cleaning a plate carrier?
« on: November 26, 2010, 09:39:17 PM »
How should I go about cleaning my plate carrier? After several outings in the wonderful AZ sun my rig has acquired an unpleasant aroma. I don't think you can just toss it in the washing machine, I would think that would not work out too well. Do I just buy a bottle of Febreze and spray it down? If you have had success cleaning your gear, how did you do it? I have spent some hard earned money on my set-up and I don't want to ruin it.

Accessories & Gear / Looking to get the right headset
« on: October 07, 2010, 10:20:18 PM »
At first I was kinda liking this but how does it work with goggles that have a strap? Does it smash into the side of your head? I wear the arena flaks.

I am thinking that this is my ideal setup, but I need it to work with my Icom. Anyone know of a headset and PTT setup like this that is Icom compatible?
