Hey y'all,
Sauce is based around the Chandler/ Gilbert border. Other than occasionally derping around the desert due to proximity from official fields, we attend large Milsim events (such as hosted by MTT/ Havoc War Games) and are looking for players who prefer the more realistic side of airsoft.
Our uniform of choice is AOR I (desert digital). Although we do not yet have patches, they will hopefully be available soon.
We are looking for:
- Players age 17-25
- Honesty and respect are highly valued traits
- Recommended weapon platforms (assault): ACR/ Masada, Scar-L, m4/16 (for magazine exchanging purposes)
- Recommended weapon platforms (support): m249, m240 bravo, m60, mk48
- Recommended weapon platforms (sniper): m24/ r700, m40
PLAYERS WHO ARE PROFICIENT IN A CQB SCENARIO ARE CURRENT PRIORITY
As Sauce is a Milsim team, we enforce minimal physical fitness standards. These include:
- Bench bodyweight
- Squat 1.5 times bodyweight
- 40 pushups in one minute
- Run a mile in under 8 minutes

I love the fitness standards. I would say though, that unless the playerbase has changed significantly, you are pricing yourself out of the market.

it's more guidelines than actual requirements. I just want guys who can pull their weight for extended periods of time

I salute you for not being one of the many '16 to 12' year old teams, which we see alot of, I prefer Honey Mustard Sawwwwccce.
Rather than looking for people to come to you, you'll have better luck going out to games and spotting afew randoms who do well, find those people and ask if them if they're on a team, invite them to join yours if they're not on one, offer that position. By doing this you're hand picking your team, and you'll have much better results. If people decline your invite, they don't want to be on a team, plain and simple.
I started my little 'Team', 'Squad', just for me and my friends, we aren't super tacticool or anything, we mainly play for fun, and work well together, dont start a team thinking you're going to become the next #1 Team in AZ overnight, also, dont go around flaunting your team, you dont want to get a Elitist stereotype towards your group.

I love Killerdragon, he's prob one of the most nondouchey members on this forum. With him not wanting little kids it's actually one of the reasons I started to show interest in this team.

I can bench 405, squat around 600 and do more than 40 pushups in a minute. However I am only currently at a 9 min mile.... so I guess I'm out?

It's more guidelines than actual requirements, like I stated in a previous comment.

I about busted a gut reading the physical fitness requirements, and even more so with Ivan's response. I think what you should get out of the response is that it sounds silly to put in those requirements in the initial post. Don't get me wrong though, I agree that you should have some kind of minimum fitness standard, but I think you should focus more on endurance than strength, after all this is airsoft, not powerlifting :p
