Barrel for My M4
« on: January 04, 2010, 06:02:15 PM »
okay quick question for you guys, I have a CQB Mod 4 That I got from gearbox arizona, I love the gun its very cool, I just have a question, I want to put a longer barrel in so I can put a supressor/silencer on it, But I am not tech savvy so I am wondering if anyone can give me any advice on what to look for in a barrel, I have seen so many descriptions it tends to be a bit overwhelming......

Thanks

the supressor just threads on the end of the barrel. Just unscrew the flash hider and thread on the supressor........ or are you wanting to add a longer INNER barrel to go to the end of the supressor?

well I heard that the longer barrel will give me a flatter trajectory so if that is the case Id like it to go to the end of the suppressor, I undid the set screw of my flash suppressor and when I went to unscrew it the entire outer barrel unscrewed. So since I am unsure of what I was doing I simply put the set screw back in place.

For the flash hider make sure you are turning it clockwise to take it off as it has left handed threads.

To change the inner barrel you will need to pull the old barrel/hopup assembly out and replace the barrel then reinstall everything. If you need better details send me a pm.
