Vietnam project, Trailer II
« on: April 28, 2005, 08:51:32 AM »
Soooo, we threw together a new trailer to peak interest as the show date for the film is getting near. Enjoy and tell me what you think! Harley was nice enough to host it for me, so my thanks to him: http://www.public.asu.edu/~jbovenzi/ima ... ietnam.wmv

Pretty cool.

I think I saw a guy ditching his ruck about 7 times in that trailer alone!

Haha. Well, I only saw two, but we definitely had those things on and off. Ice, to answer your question, no, we don't have any plans beyond an initial showing. A bunch of copies will go to vets, though, so what they do with it is up to them. We do have a guy from the Smithsonian (did I spell that right?) who wants a copy, as well as the national archives. Kinda cool. Its coming out nicely, being as this was totally put together by 17-19 year olds - most of us who aren't actors and have never directed before this :D !

I remember a movie called "84 Charlie MoPic" which was made by a small independent film company and filmed in Florida (I think) great movie, made on a low budget.  Definetly worth renting.

Very nice.  Like I said last year, I can't wait to see the whole thing!  Great work and keep up the udates :)  Like you said you guys have shown a lot of skills in these trailers especially for 17-19year olds.  I think that you may have made a film that a lot of professional film makers could not have done as well themselves.

Absolutely gorgeous.  Looks amazing, and is folds better than anything I would expect out of high school and college students.

Great job man!  Let everyone in it know how great it looks, and how much we're dying to see this!

(btw.... you mind telling me where ya filmed? ;) )

The M21 is just my M1A with a look-alike scope (the real thing is over $900). The M60 that you see in the trailer is just an airsoft. We created the gas effects. We use a real M60 for various clips throughout the film, though. It came from a great group of guys at Apache Ordnance.

As for location, we were all over. Some required permits, other places were private land. Unfortunately, none of them are for airsofting :( .
