I am wondering, is keeping a battery charged for the weeks between games healthy for the battery? im not sure it is, but I want to know for sure. If it isn't could someone also tell me where to find info on making makeshift battery dischargers I have heard of. thanks for your help. :?:

Is your battery a NiMH, or NiCd? If it is NiMH, you should not discharge it, as it will mess up the cell memory. I keep my batteries charged all the time, I have never had a problem.

PETA people are full of it. If people weren't around, cows and chickens would be extinct. They have no defenses, all they do is eat, shit, and sleep.

Creeping Death its good to see another systema user on here. What rifles do you have?

the only PTW I have is a bone stock M4-A1 MAX with a M130 cylinder and 9.6v battery.
I also got the new mil-spec buttstock plate in yesterday with is a lot better than the standard one. they even made it matte colored to match the stock (original one is kinda shiny).
My only plans for it in the future are figuring out a cool sling to get for it... its got that lower front sling mount which rules out a lot of sweet 3-points (unless you get a Vickers foregrip mount) so I'm not sure what to do.
with my red M150 cyclinder it shoots so damn far I might get some kind of scope too (not that anyone will ever let me use that cylinder in a game).
I just saw the photo thread and your PTW is pretty sick.
is it a MAX or Gen III? lemme know too if you have any extra parts you wouldn't mind parting with.

Are the PTW's all they are cracked up to be? I have long considered liquidating my current arsenal to get one. However, the lack of local support, and difficulty and expense of parts and accessories have always deterred me. I know they shoot well, and perform well, but where would you have them serviced if they were to break down?

No, dude.

He pays for this stuff with his own money.

Selling crack, can help you with that.

Actually, according to Steven Levitt in Freakonomics, the average, street-level crack dealer makes about $3.50/hour, and has a 7x more likely chance of dying on the job than the average worker. Owning a brothel, there is a money maker.

Back on topic, Tora, why you hatin? Do you even know the kid? Next time you have something like that to say, keep it to PM.

My Wife Is Japanese and I just went through the entire process.

No I Didn't like it!

Yes, It Is Confusing as Hell.

Yes, It Is Expensive ($4,300 to be exact).

What I did do is contact an immigration lawyer before entering the country with my fiance'.  Then followed my lawyer's directions to the letter and let the lawyer handle the particulars.  My wife and I did get married, (also had a kid) and start to finish (her receiving her permenant residency card) took 9 months.

Difficult?

Yes!

Impossible to do on your own - Damn Right It Is!

Hire a lawyer and do it legally.  All others go the fcuk home and quit messing up my country!

In my opinion, it is not "messing up my country." The thing is, like it or not, a significant portion of our economy rests upon the cheap labor that illegal immigrants provide. I think that if they were able to do it by the book efficiently, at moderate cost, and were given the opportunity to pay taxes they would. Realistically, do you think that every illegal immigrant is so dishonest that they don't want to pay taxes? I don't think so. I think they are afraid of being caught, so they try to maintain as low a profile as possible.

Looking at the problem logically creates an interesting perspective on the "problem." It is estimated that there are between fifteen and twenty million illegal immigrants in this country, the fact that we devote so much time, resources, and legislation to a group that makes up about five percent of the US population is incomprehensible to me. If the government spent as much time on reforming tort laws to bring malpractice, and thus, healthcare costs down as they do on illegal immigration, we could have a working solution to that problem.

Most crimes have a reason.  Changing the laws to cut them slack isn't the solution; enforcing them is.  Plus, to what extent do you take it?  Just keep making it easier until the point we just open the gates and say come in, the water is fine?  Short of that, you will always have people who have excuses for not doing it legally.

What I don't understand is why illegal immigrants get cut so much slack.  Why are they different than any other criminals?  Everybody goes out of their way to excuse the behavior or even look the other way.  Illegals are making a conscious decision to break the law and continue to do so, often on a daily basis.

By your logic, we should also increase the speed limit because that will solve the speeding problem.  We could also add an orange light in between yellow and red because that should solve the red light running problem.  A co-worker of mine got into a car accident a while back from a person pulling right in front of him.  The driver of the other car immediately jumped out and took off running.  Police caught the guy, it was a Mexican with no insurance or drivers license (or ID period for that matter).  Now my co-worker gets to go through the fun of a un-insured driver claim.  The guy is getting a free one way ticket home, so he can't even sue him for damages.

Every legal immigrant I know despises illegals because it makes them look bad.  I don't know a single legal immigrant who wishes he would have saved the time and just done it illegally.

You are comparing apples to oranges, traffic and immigration law are two entirely different things. I am not saying we should have an open border policy, I am saying that we should make the process more simple and efficient for ALL immigrants. Frankly, if they just did a thorough background check and gave said immigrant a tax ID, or SSN, then a significant portion of the illegal immigration issue would be solved. Then, and only then, would there be no excuse for illegally entering the country. I challenge you, ask someone who is going through the process legally, ask them if they like it. Ask them if it is moving along efficiently and at a moderate cost. I would almost guarantee that they would have several major complaints about the current system, and nearly all would want some, or perhaps all of the process to change.

As for the xenophobia, immigrants rarely assimilated in the early 1900's immigration boom. That is why there are so many different cultures around places like New York and San Francisco.

I am only going to say one thing. If the US reforms the process of becoming a citizen, then illegal immigration would drop dramatically. As it is now, it is a long, complicated, arduous process that requires a significant amount of money, which not a lot of people have. It is easy for people like me, whose ancestors simply had to sign the guest book at Ellis Island to say that "we did it the right way, why can't they?"

So because you can't afford it legally, that makes it fine to do it illegally?  Why didn't anybody tell me, I'm going to pickup a Ferrari on the way home.

I didn't say that the cost justified illegal immigration, I just proposed a reason for a significant portion of it. If we restructured the process of becoming a citizen, then illegal immigration would not be as much of a problem as it is right now.

The politeness of western civilization will be it's down fall unless we develope the ability to recognize when we are confronted with a serious threat.  If you think these people aren't serious you're dead wrong.  Face the facts people, we are squaring off against militant religious wack jobs, whom at the very core of their idiology believe that we are the enemy.  We don't have to bomb them, or shoot them or do anything at all to be considered evil.  In fact our inability to effectively eliminate them only gives their heirarchy fuel for their fires of hate.  These people don't want western civilization to leave them alone, they want it to leave the face of the earth.  These extremists present every bit as much a threat as that of Nazi Germany.

To me, they are far less organized. Yes, they are a terribly frightening and serious threat to anyone who crosses their path. However, what I think everyone is missing is that they hate everyone but themselves. It is not just Americans, or the Western world, they hate everyone, including other Muslims who don't believe in their ridiculous ideology. To me, the 20th Century can be boiled down to everyone fighting some kind of "ism;" fascism, communism, and now terrorism. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in, and we will just have to adapt, like we have for centuries.

What a backwards way to try to take over the world, even Nazi Germany made allies with the Italians and Japanese. Is the word compromise even in their vocabulary?

Nope, they don't even like each other. My feeling is that they will kill themselves off eventually.

View the pictures below and decide how you really feel about the future of the Western World.
These pictures are of Muslims marching through the streets of London during their recent "Religion of Peace Demonstration."

Why would anyone think that we should be at war with such nice, peaceful Muslems?!
Americans need to know!  These Pictures tell it all! Muslims have stated that England will be the first country they take over!
These are pictures not shown on American TV or in American Newspapers (as they might help Bush's war on terror), but were forwarded to me by a Canadian Friend who thought Americans ought to know.

Has this even been authenticated? I mean, if you look closely, every single sign has the same handwriting. I very seriously doubt this was a sanctioned demonstration either, as any government, city or otherwise, could easily see this thing inciting problems. Not that I doubt shit like this does not happen, you need to consider your source. However, as Ganef pointed out, if indeed it is real, they are technically within their rights to do this.

I have more pictures on this, but I figured I already made a big enough post.

Thats my views on politics.
