My friend has the SLR-105, and it isn't very impressive. The TM one, is very reliable. But a wood kit would be nice, and definitely a better spring. And for about $30 more, you can get the G&G RK47 which already has wood (Stock/Grip/Handguard ), and is pre-upgraded. I already posted all the info on it, which can be also found on WGCshop. IMO It's the best choice as far as price and quality.  I would wait though, for some reviews. Just incase there is something wrong with it.

You need an AK for when you are a doctor?!

Can't go wrong with Marui AKs, they never fail, and they are easy to work on. They are fairly cheap, and pretty durable. I've owned(and still own) a few of them.

Oh, and the AK74 is more for special forces units (spetznaz). For an insurgent impression, get an AK47.

Then, I'm curious as to why you need to ask which is better, especially if you already have good experience with a certain brand.

I wanted to know becuase i have only had one brand of AK, and I wanted to know if the others were better.

they are all good to tell you the truth, but i have experence with the Marui ones, since i own one, its very reliable, its been through flash flood, off cliffs(with me) anything you could thing and it never broke....well the internals anyway, but a marui one and a stell and wood kit and it would be pretty bomb,

I find it funny that Fish is the one making spelling corrections

I've owned a TM AK47 for the past year and it hasn't failed me once.
I have had no problems with it what-so-ever.

Defenitly a GREAT choice for an AK variant.

I would also recommend the VFC AK series.

I got the G&G RK 47, what can i say they did a outstanding job on this ak. It is very solid, made with all metal and wood. The bold and gas piston are very realistic. The wood has that nice ruff feel to it, and it was shooting around 320fps out of the box plus it comes with a 6.04 tightbore barrel. Everything on the ak fits together perfectly. Another nice feature is the bolt, when you charge it, it makes a solid clank, and the selector is very crisp when you move it from safe to auto to semi.

Cut him some slack.

I think it is a solidly built piece. :D

If I ever got another AK, it'd be the Beta. It's the coolest one ever. When they get the short mags to be 30rds each, or less.. I'm getting another one, possibly.
