Is it worth spending extra money to buy flash mags? specifically M4 mags.

If you want to lean closer to realism, then no.  Most organized games do not permit their use as so to maintain within the spirit of Milsim.

Pro: fast reload, convenient for battles. Just a quicker wind up of a hi-cap

Cons: ive known people to have many jams, feeding problems, and string breakage.

Well, that just about sums it up. Lol
But, in my opinion, i prefer hi-caps. Since its basically the same thing, just dowsnt have the string to wind it up.
As for what sarge said, it only accounts for the milsim games. Places like fightertown, and most desert games. A hi capacity mag is what you want to go with. But, its always nice to have a few standards and mids as well. Just in case

Its all matter of opinion though. Best thing to do, is buy one, just to test it out. Or see if abuddy could lend you one or two.

~When in doubt empty the magazine.

Yes. They're very good, especially the Lonex ones. You won't need more than 3, and it's a worthy investment. If you want 360rds at the ready without having to wind your magazine constantly, go for it. I have a few and they've never failed, even with 30rps builds.
