Airsoft Items FOR SALE / CA m14 120.00
« on: May 15, 2008, 08:11:41 PM »
I've decided to sell both my m14's.  First up is my TM M14.

Gearbox: 120 spring, systema gears, low resistance wiring.

FPS: I'm not too sure how fast it shoots, but it has great distance.  I will ask Cajun to chrono it when he gets back from LA.

It comes with one hi-cap mag, a QD silencer (flash hider removed and not available).  It does not include the battery.

You can see a whole in the stock opposite the selector switch, but this does not does not effect it's performance.  This is a well used gun, version I, and has seen a lot of action.

Price: 175.00

Please no low balling or trades.

Second, I have up for sale CA m14 Match.  Everything is stock on this gun.  I've painted it.

It comes with 3 hi cap mags.  It does not have a battery.

I am currently having the trigger wiring looked at since there is a slight lag before firing once you pull the trigger.

I will also ask Cajun to chrono this one and will post it later if need be.

Price: 175.00

Not interested in trades.  No low balling please.

Located in Tucson.  Pick up only right now.

These are decent rifles and can make a great introductory weapon.

General Off-Topic Discussion / PDA email setting help
« on: April 07, 2008, 02:52:41 PM »
I just picked up a Nokia E-series PDA and have internet service.

I'm having trouble with the incoming and outcoming (POP?) email settings.

current incoming mail server settings: pop.mail.msn.com?

current outgoing mail server settings: smtp.msn.com?

Not sure if any of those are correct.

Any help would be great.

thanks,

Benn

Accessories & Gear / LBT-1562A CT: Why so expensive?
« on: March 28, 2008, 09:32:27 AM »
Was looking around and came across these packs:

http://www.londonbridgetrading.com/m1we ... a=jumpable

PDF:

http://www.londonbridgetrading.com/m1we ... ntID=11657

They look similar to the Maxpediton pack I bought from Tim (which is awesome) a few years back.

These things are like 4 times as much.

Thought maybe some of you true mil guys (Christian?) could shed some light on why they are so expensive....maybe even someone like David who makes gear?

Is it the amount of webbing and pockets inside?  This think look like it can hold litres of IV fluid or something.

Thanks.

Troubleshooting / Don't know crap about my M14.
« on: February 17, 2008, 06:45:39 PM »
Kiley hooked me up with a rail and a heat shield for my TM M14.  I have no idea how to take the old one off or how to put this one on.

Any knowledgeable TM m14 owner's (vince?) or gun technician's input would be great.

Thanks.

Troubleshooting / M14 flash hider
« on: January 20, 2008, 07:44:23 PM »
I have a CA M14 match that I can't get the flash hider off of. I want to put a can on the end.   I removed the set screw but the flash hider is not budging.  I was told to turn it clock-wise to get it off, but even tried to go the other direction briefly.  It is hard to get a good purchase, but it hasn't moved at all.

I looked at some other forums and someone suggested that it has some type of adhesive or lock tight on it....not sure.

I'm afraid I'll break something. :x

Any suggestions from people who have successfully removed one?

General Off-Topic Discussion / Any luck deer hunting this year?
« on: November 02, 2007, 08:58:01 AM »
A few members of AMSOG were drawn for the big game hunt this year and we were wondering who else may have hunted already or will later this season.

Both Chain and I pulled out Couse bucks.  Mine was out of 33A:

Local Games Listing/RSVP / BF SASCO 06OCT07
« on: September 30, 2007, 06:35:04 PM »
AMSOG is going to put on a little capture the flag event at SASCO:

Here is Dan's original post:

Ever play the video game Battlefield 2 or Battlefield Vietnam? No .. Ever heard of capture the flag? No? Then you've been in a cave somewhere and you should probably go back.

Well we want to try and Airsoft version of Battlefield and what better place than SASCO!!

Quote
BATTLEFIELD SASCO

- The object of the game is simple, control as many of the Control Points on the field as possible for as long as possible.

- You will be divided into two teams. 1 light colored camouflage (Tan &ACU) and 1 dark colored camouflage (Green & Multicam).

- Each Control Point will have a flagpole and 2 flags, 1 colored flag for each team. To show control of the Control Point your team must raise the colored flag for your team. Once your flag is raised you will need to log your team color and the current time but not before your flag is raised. This is used to tally points at the end of the day.

- Points? Your team will be awarded 1 point for taking the Control Point and 1 point for every 10 minutes your team has possession of the Control Point. We will not be rounding up or down on time. For example if your team has the Flag for 37 minutes before it is overrun your team will be awarded 4 points. 1 point for capturing the Control Point and 3 points for the 30 full minutes of control. You will not be awarded points for the 7 extra minutes. You need not have teammates at a Control Point to collect points as long as your colored team flag is up.

- Are points the only way to win? No If your team manages to control all of the Control Points on the field then the other team has nowhere to regenerate thereby you win.

- Regeneration is only possible at a Control Point that your team controls. Regeneration time will be five minutes once you arrive at the Control Point or Flag. If  the Control Point you are regenerating at is overrun before you complete the required 5 minute regeneration period you will need to go to a different Control Point your team has and start your 5 minutes over when you arrive. You will regenerate about 50ft away from your flag in a designated area as to avoid ?confusion?.

General Airsoft Discussion / FPS "discrepency"
« on: September 08, 2007, 10:01:02 PM »
When checking out AEG's on different websites, I've noticed a large range of listed FPS on the same gun.

For example, on the CA25, the FPS range is close to 100 FPS in difference:

400+ FPS here:

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=1982

310-320 FPS here:

http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/ind ... ts_id=2952

So, are they using different weight BB's or something different?

Not bad to start with if your airsoft gear budget runs under 30.00.

General Off-Topic Discussion / Problem staying logged in
« on: August 06, 2007, 08:39:47 PM »
I have always been able to stay logged in from home.  Ever since I got my new comp, I have to log in everytime I come to the forum.  To make things more irritating, when I go to "view posts since last visits", it says there is none.

does anyone else have this problem?  is it another stupid VISTA issue?

General Off-Topic Discussion / Explorer madness
« on: April 23, 2007, 06:58:29 PM »
So I'm checking my email (I have MSN DSL) and all of a sudden, IE just starts to open window after window.  In about 10 seconds, I have like 60 blank windows of IE open on my computer.  I just restarted the computer becuase there was no way to catch up.

This  used to happen often with my old POS computer, and I thought it was just a problem with that particular computer.

Has anyone else had this problem?...and no, I don't go to porn sites like most of you. :x
