I go totally light weight in field and cqb. All I carry if ammo, water, and my weapons (rifle, handgun, and knife). Everything about my loadout is based on maneuverability... my new chest rig, neoprene face mask, plastic waffle patterned mags (still very durable), and even my AK which i bought over other models because it is made from aluminum opposed to steel. I am thinking of mounting a grenade launcher even though it will way down my gun, but the benefits would outweigh the consequence (no pun intended). The only non-lightweight part of my gear is my helmet, but i use that to preform barrel rolls and such so that i have a nice round surface to roll on (it's made out of ABS so it isn't even that heavy). I would highly suggest trying a totally lightweight loadout, it makes it so that you aren't weighed down by a ton of unnecessary gear. Its also alot more budget friendly since you only have to buy a minimum amount of gear. I would suggest a light molle chest rig, hydration carrier, mag pouches, a pistol holster (if you have a handgun), and kneepads.
