Airsoft Items FOR SALE / WTS/WTT ECHO1 Socom16
« on: February 05, 2010, 12:47:50 PM »
$100

Echo1 Socom16 comes with;
1 hicap Mag
original box+manual+anything else I can find.

I bought this a few weeks ago at the GB. Nothing is wrong with it what so ever. My brother lost one of the magazines. We had some feeding issues once, but the issue seems to have been the mag he lost. GB has never been opened and probably less than 2k rounds through it.

Troubleshooting / A&K M249
« on: January 24, 2010, 04:37:17 PM »
Alright, before I gut this bitch again what could be causing this.

This is either a V. 1 or V.2 A&K M249

It sat for a few months, but prior to sitting it worked ok. However, a month ago we started using it again. This is what's happened:

--FPS was around 160, troubled shot problem to hopup o-ring being bad. This brought the FPS to 220.
--FPS is now 220ish, I figured the O-ring on the Piston head is bad as well given the condition of the hop-up Oring. I tore open the GB, swapped it for a new O-ring, closed it, then re-installed. Chrono'd at 300-305 before the game, then 290-299 after the games.

So, this leaves me with 3 problems.

A) The spring is bad
B) The piston head is bad
C) Both are bad

Ideas, or am I just going to have to replace the upper assembly to fix this?

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / A&K M60
« on: June 07, 2009, 07:01:58 PM »
Same old thread to save space.

A&K M60E4.

Bought this 2/3 weeks ago. Had my fun with it but given the heat(not on my end) and no longer needing to play until winter(if even then) I have no more use for an airsoft gun. Got it from the GB and put maybe 300rds though it. Has the box which just isn't pictured. Oh how things change so quickly.

$250 given the thing is nearly brand new and goes for around 300-350 normally.

I still have the M4 mags. All 4 CAs, 2 hicaps and the 1 416 for $15

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / AG36 $80, G36 Mags $15....
« on: June 15, 2008, 12:27:15 PM »
former SIG and G3 thread....have some extra stuff for sale.
all g36 stuff sold

Drop Leg ACM MP7 holster---$5

Works fine, sticks out alittle, but does its job. I modded an IDZ radio pouch to work so I don't need this.  Clip didn't work but I sanded it down so it does. The side pouches are also to small for large mags.

$15

All developed the same problem. The BBs grind down the top of the feed guides(which I believe has happened) or they are getting caught on the slit where the top opens up. They jam every so often, some bad some minor and one has a broken tab. Fixable? I don't know. PLUS 3 Hicaps. 1 JG and 2 SRC.

$5 Gun cloth bag

From cheaper than dirt. Thick fabric, grey with black trim.

Splitting AG36.

AG36

$80

Cut to fit minis, selector is a little mushy but still clicks into place and locks. Some scratches with the top pin missing. Still 100% working.

Madbull Stingers

$60

All three. Used a few times with some wear on the Gold one, the other two look new.

6 Nerf Minis

$10

Cut the fins to fit the AG36 tube. Orange, Purple and Green colored.

Reviews / JG G3SG1
« on: June 05, 2008, 04:06:26 PM »
New gun that I just got a few hours ago. This gun is the G3 SG1 which is the first of the JG G3 line. There is also the G3 T3 RAS and the G3A3. Neither of which are currently stateside yet.

Where I got it;
Same as the JG Sig552. Airsoftadvantage had it for $115.99 shipped same day as ordered. Ordered it Tuesday and it arrived a few hours ago via UPS.

What it came with;

1) Gun+Bipod
2) ShuangBao Large NiCad 8.4v 1500mah
3) 2 Prong Charger(garbage since it is not compatible with US plug without a converter)
4) Black Flashhinder
5) Orange Barrel Cover
6) Booklet
7) 200 BBs
8 ) Cheek Rest
9) Unjamming rod

The Gun;

The gun came in a brown box with only some coding to ID the gun from the store. It was actually the standard JG box just turned inside out for some reason. The box was fairly large since this gun can not be broken down or folded like a Sig or M4 LE. The gun was held in place by 2 pieces of styrofoam and some bubble wrap to prevent the foam foam from moving.

Weight/Length

The length is a MAJOR con for those that prefer small/medium guns. The gun is very long around a full sized G36 and M16 in length. Stock has no folding stock or any way to make the gun smaller other than after market sliders.As it is now it is around 1033mm(modern firearms). However the length isn't a problem for me. I knew it was a big rifle and have no problems using or carrying it around.

Weight wise its pretty decent. I'd estimate it to be around 6lbs since its only slightly heavier than my Sig. The length of the rifle really disperses most of the weight so its easy to grip and swing around. Although it is slightly more weighed to the front middle part. It shoulders very well and the sights line up to eye level automatically without the cheek rest of course.

Appearance;

The first question is yes. The gun is almost entirely plastic with the exception of a few key spots. Those being the bi-pod, trigger, screws/pins, magazine+release, barrel, barrel assembly and sights. The selector is plastic which is kind of a con. Its a high wear part. The rear stock to body cover also appears to be metal.

The plastic feels very sturdy with no creaks as of yet. It is very solid and even has some fake welding spots. There are visible seem lines on the stock, top of the body and under the handgaurd. Not a big deal though since plastic is plastic. The only real con about the plastic is it appears very fake. Unlike the Sig and G36 this plastic makes it appear toy like. Milsimers/perfectionists(not saying there are) probably may not like that. I believe it is just the shade of grey they used. The gun is colored in three shades of grey and black. The body and forward assembly are light grey, the pistol grip, sights, stock and hardgaurd are black while the lower receiver is a slightly darker grey. With a bright orange WGC flashhinder of course.

Sights:

Sights are standard spinning type like on the sig. Ranges from 1-4 based on distance to target and locks into place with a click. Spins with ease and locks into place well. Front sight is a standard metal prong. There are NO rails or screw holes for rails. You have to buy the claw mount if you want optics on this gun. I don't have one so there are no pictures of one.

Pistol Grip and Selector

The pistol grip is made for RIGHT handed users. Unlike M4/G36 grips this one is molded for a more snug grip. This is a problem for left handed shooters since the ridge digs into your hand. The grip itself works well with the length of the rifle, no complaints here. However the selector is PLASTIC and only on the left side. Another con for left handed shooters.  The saftey is marked with a white S for safe, E for Single and F for Full Auto. Clicks into position well and slides into the next without hinder. Not a problem to be seen here. A big bonus though is that you can see what setting you are on from the opposite side since the indicator moves.

Hop-Up

Since I have yet to play with the Sig this one is the same. Although it appears to be the same as the Sig which is a bonus for part interchanging. It is a standard dial and is reached by pulling the cocking level back while locking it into place. It normally locks into place by a small pin the handle covers. Its a nice feature although again plastic so I wouldn't abuse it. My dial however appears to not have been oiled so I will have to bust it open and fix that. This also happened on my brother's JG G36c so its an easy fix.

Performance;

It fires well for stock and both selector options work. I did a controlled test with .2 AEs with no hicups, jams or misfires. It has the stock JG gearbox, not the black one, with their average ROF and FPS. It also does have that annoying "boing" from the front cocking spring while shooting. While using an 8.4v Intellect it is very responsive. The gun is easily well over the 338fps it has labeled. I haven't played outdoors with it so I can't judge the accuracy.

Gearbox;

Its a JG. Thats really all that has to be said.

Hicap;

Completely metal with the exception of the door. The metal is of good quality with only a small dent from being made. It clicks into place and is removed without a problem. It can hold around 500bbs so for a hicap its pretty good.

Bipod;

On of the key features of this gun. The bipod itself is completely metal with the exception of the feet. Those are both plastic for some reason. To use them you push the two buttons towards you(or down) then slide them out. Both click out, set and go back without any problems. Another cool feature is that the bipod swivels around to aid in aiming the gun. Like that of a M249 PARA. Can't ask for a better bipod at the price I got the gun.

Battery;

The battery goes into the rear stock. It opens the same as a Mp5A4 by pushing the buttstock down which unlocks it. The battery goes into there. I use minis but it a full size battery like the one included may have trouble closing/fitting with the wiring.

Overall;

I like it. The issues it came with are easy to fix. Other than the hop up it all works are is should and for the price it can't be beat.

Reviews / JG Sig552
« on: May 22, 2008, 04:27:26 PM »
Well I felt a decent non arguing post would be a nice change of pace for the board. So here is a review of my brand new JG Sig552. Sorry no Real Steel information since my knowledge comes from Wiki and World Guns. I will NOT be dismantling the gun. I can but I prefer not to unless it is broken.

Where I got it;
Bought this from Airsoftadvantage for $115.99 shipped. Ordered it Tuesday morning and it came a few hours ago which is usual for this store and very fast overall.

What it came with;

1) JG Sig552
2) Shuang BA 8.4v 1100 Mah mini Ni-MH
3) Charger. However it must be thrown away or you must buy a conversion plug since it is 2 prong. Not a big deal since I use a smart charger.
4) Unjamming Rod
5) Booklet
6) 200 BBs
7) Black Flashhider

The Gun;

The gun came in a brown box with just the side labled "jg sig552". Probably because their wholesaler appears to be WGCshop. First thing I noticed was the box was very small. Roughly the size of a Tokyo Marui P90 box. Well I busted it open to see the standard JG packaging with 4 pieces of styrofoam holding the rifle in place. Which has been typical for me on all my clone purchases. They ship the gun with the stock FOLDED and not extended which is a good thing since this is a folding stock. Excess bending of stock joints will break them.

Weight/Length;

All together the gun weighs roughly 5lbs(also according to Flankertanker) which is decent. Seems kind of high for a small gun that is largely plastic. However the weight is nothing and largely seems to be a concern for younger players. Extended the gun is around 730mm(World guns) which is pretty short. I find the gun shoulders well for someone of my size(5'7) and doesn't seem to sway or hard to aim for long period of time.

Below are comparisons to a P90 and AG36.

Appearance;

I was surprised to see what I saw when I busted it open. On the seen side was a long piece of tape covering full Sigarms trade marks. Both sides are full marked which appear to be authentic marks. I have never seen a real SIG 552 so I can only guess they are correct. The trademarks are very visible and the selector markings and well made. The gun has a White "S" for safe, Red 1 for semi and a Red 20 for automatic(the real sig has a 20rd magazine). The gun itself is very clean and smooth with almost no seems or cracks. The only visible seem is down the stock but this is something normal to those that use skeleton stocks such as those on the G36 series. There is also a seem on the pistol grip but only the rear is visible. The front of the grip is smoothed into the gun pretty well. The gun is uniformly colored to grip, rails, stock and hand guard black with the rest gray, with the exception of the blaze orange hider. More over it seems that JG also threw in a black flash hider. I have yet to put it on since orange flash hiders really do not bother me.

Performance;

I have yet to personally fire it outside. I do not like bring my replicas outside for the entire world to see other than quick photos. An indoor test did confirm the gun does work fine with no hicups or jams. I'd estimate it fires around 12-15 bps with a chrono of over 350. Flankertaker, who did a youtube review, chronoed his at 360+-4. I can not object to a short barreled gun firing 360 stock with that rate of fire. So there is not much I can say for this other than it works like a stock JG would. Also for my BPS/gun test I used an Intellect 8.4v instead of the clone one.

Sights;

Standard sights are pretty good. They are the spinning type that you adjust to the distance to the target. The rear sight has 4 adjustable ranges which go from from 1(open) to 3/4. I'm unsure of what the numbers mean since I've never seen sights like these. But the standard open sight is 1, 3/4 is the next largest then down to 2 which is the smallest hole. The sight clicks into place well and spins with little effort. There are also knobs for wind and elevation.  Also the front sight is a dual post. It has the large block, shown, and when you push  the inner post towards you it folds and a smaller post clicks into place. I prefer the small one since the large takes up a lot of the sight.

There is also a rail along the top. This rail in INCOMPATIBLE with other rail systems. It does not screw into the body of the gun. Instead it slides into a slot(marked with sig trades) and is pinned between that and the rear sight via a screw. Its easy to remove and I haven't had any wiggle from it yet.

Hop Up;

Same as above except I can tell you its not a common brand. It is a dial scope, similar to my G36s, but is more elongated. I believe this to be an Sig only hopup so if you break it you may be in some trouble getting a replacement. I have yet to set it.

Barrel;

Appears to be a stock 6.08 however I have heard rumors of JG putting TBs in their 08's. From the indoor test I did its accurate but short so outdoors play will be a bit difficult. Range will be an issue.

Gearbox;

Another surprise is that is appears to be an 08 BLACK JG gearbox. Trying to read ASR is like trying to read Russian. I do not want to open up the gun but it may have;

1) Metal or Nylon Shims
2) M120 or M110 spring
3) Reinforced GB

Like I said I don't want to open it up to find out so someone from the Gearbox or APD will have to tell you. But from what I can understand it comes with what the seller requests.

Hicap;

Standard hicap. It is small so only expect to get around 250bbs into it. This is probably the worst of the guns features. The plastic is very thin with noticeable seem lines. There is also quite a bit of burs from manufacturing the plastic.

Battery;

Kind of a pain to put into the gun. You have to remove the pin which is spring loaded, pull the bottom back into the gun then remove the top. You then slide the wires into the slot that the connector comes out of and place the battery sideways vertically. If to much wire is out of the slot it won't close.

Overall;

From what I can tell I do not see anything wrong with it. It functions just like a AEG should and looks great. From when I use to buy clones it seems they have stepped up quite a bit with quality and function. The only real negative I have about this gun is the magazine. I found it can false insert. Meaning it can click into place but won't function and will probably fall out when it gets bumped. Those that play night games or do fast reloads may want to watch it because of that. The hicap is also made of thin plastic so the combination may lead to a broken hicap.

Right;

Wrong;

Also be very careful with the folding stock. Keep it in either folded or extended mode only. The stock wobbles a lot when being changed from extended to closed and vise versa.Its only held onto the gun via a small pin so excessive movement or dropping may break the stock pin/plastic holder.

Since my school is over for the summer I plan on buying a few more. If you want semi reviews like this one just ask I will make them.

Long story short they sent this freaking thing that I have no use for. Its brand new and has only been attached 3 times for testing.

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=3413

$15

Also;

Madbull Version 2 6.03 650mm PSG-1 TB

Doesn't go well with a G36 barrel. Far to much wobble and I feared bending it. It is the PSG-1 version but a little amount of duct tape made it compatible with a G36 hop-up. I don't know about other units since I only have a G36. Shot a few hundred rounds out of it. Goes for like $35 new.

« on: March 31, 2008, 02:24:13 PM »
Bought it awhile back but never use it. I don't feel like getting more stuff for it when I'm just a casual player. Just testing the waters to gauge interest.

So its just an Ag36. Bought it about 3 months ago and I've only seen it used once at FAP by someone so it works. Its missing the a Pin but I found a bolt to fit. Minor scratch on one side. I have also modified the inside so it does not need sticks or a Snipe stock. I just dremmeled it down to the metal. It has also been K modded.

Asking $130 since they retail for $250.

I don't want these nor want to go through the trouble of warranty.

Bought them a week ago and disliked what happened. I guarantee nothing other than them being Oakleys from Safetyglassesusa.com. I do not trust them at all so I can not guarantee any ballistic protection.

The lenses have 3 dimples and 1 edge round. One dimple also appears to be cracked but I don't see it while wearing them.

Asking $70 since they still work as sunglasses and will trade for ESS CDI primarily(will add cash).
