The guns are nice and sturdy.  Their MP5s are top notch.  The M4s had a couple of bad reviews when they were first released but rumor has it that the issues were addressed by CA. CA cannot, however, make a reliable magazine to save their lives...

Like he said, the gun is great, just the mags suck.  So you need to use Marui mags.  I'm looking for a source to replace the springs in the CA mags, possibly from Marui through Wargameclub.

So your saying that mags that the CA uses sucks and the TM mags are good!  Then your saying that you can use TM mags in the CA guns?

Why bother about getting springs for the CA mags?

Yes, the guns are all the same as far as that goes.  You do not need to buy CA mags just because you have a CA gun.

John, are you sure that it just isn't a problem with the nozzle timing, or gun needing some silicone oil with Kyle's SR-16 (or something of that effect)?  It was my AEG and I used it for a couple games, but I rarely if ever used full auto on it (90% semi auto) and used CA hi-caps.  It fed fairly reliably on semi...

The gun works perfectly Paco, I took it home and tore it apart just to be sure.  The CA mags he bought will not feed, or the ones that did feed quit working after a couple loadings.  I put one of my Marui high caps in the SR16 and it ran like a champ, but with the CA mags it would not feed properly.  I ran it on semi and it would shoot fine, 1 BB at a time, full auto... look out, I almost didn't want to give it back to him.

Good to know it's not the gun.  I guess I will stay away from CA mags; after all, they're only about 15-25% less than marui mags.

You liked how I built the internals on it, huh?  [:D]

Eradicator, I don't own a CA.  And I did not know the mags (Standards) were so hit and miss or I assuredly would not have purchased them.  It was an insane sale and I fell for it.  We all learn through such errors in judgement.
May my lapse save you all from similar failures!!!

Is Classic army really so bad?
« Reply #12 on: April 15, 2003, 09:48:19 PM »
Does Classic Army really have some very low quality guns? Or are they not as bad as people say?
