updated 7/19/2014 HYDRO DIP & POWDER COAT! new pics
« on: January 25, 2014, 02:23:38 AM »
Well I am going to start a small hydro dipping job. I'm looking to see how much interest there would be on AA. Since I am just starting out I an limited at this time till things pick up. I will be taking the first few jobs at a discount to get my product out into the public. Now as for the price, after reviewing all the cost to me I will only be charging around $20- $30 depending on size of the part. I will be soon listing pictures of what I have done when my supply comes in. I will also soon list all the patterns I can get. Now if you have any questions on what hydro dipping is or what I can dip, don't be afraid to ask. And do remember, just about anything can be dipped in any pattern you want.

I am also offering powder coating to anyone who wants that as well. If you do not know powder coat is a much stronger paint than spray paint or anything out of a rattle can. It is scratch resistant and covers very evenly and well so no runs or bubbles. The prices are pretty cheap starting at $5 for something small up to about $40 for a whole gun. Hand guns are smaller so will be less. If you have any questions about this as well just ask. I will have samples ready soon and our local tech spaz will have some of my work to show off as well once I get it all done.

Have a great day.

here are a few of the patterns i think every one woule like

multicam

desert digital

atacs

woven black carbon fiber

tangle

white skulls

flames with embedded skulls

here is a link for the other ones i have. just tell me what number it is in the slide show with a description or the name.

Looks pretty good Sigma, especially for just starting out.
I'll keep this in mind, might have a few things needing powder coated in the future.

What's the max size (dimensions) you can do in Powder coat, and Hydro Dip?

Where are you located roughly?
Fox Company | Tournament Locks
Main: JP Polarstar, Magpul PTS ACR, ARES Tavor TAR-21
Side Arm: KWA HK45, KWA Umarex H&K MP7
Other: AT-4, Defusable Bomb, Mortar

Well as for the powder coating right now I'm limited to a standard size oven but I have a big one that could do car fenders and bumpers (roughly 5' X 4' X 20') as well. This oven is about 90% done so it will be up soon for the much larger items and not just Airsoft parts.

As for the hydro tank I'm still limited to small parts until I can prove to my partner that it will make some money and work. If It dose start to work out than I will be given the money to build a bigger tank and have more film on hand for faster service.

My location is 43rd ave and Dunlap area. West of metro center mall. Very easy to get to and visitors are welcome if you want to see the powder coated items yourself.

NEXT HUGE UPDATE!!!!
hydro dip is now up. i have got my kit and can now take on some work. i have a few pics of what i have done so far in carbon fiber and will be getting the multicam soon to do the rest of my show case gun for all this. here are some of the pics of what i got:

eo-tech

barrel

charging handle

as i say again i am ready to start and will be able to order patterns as well. only kicker is that i am tight on money and will need a small down payment in order to get the film for dipping unless i already have the pattern you want. note right now i only have carbon fiber and in a few days will be receiving multicam

Moose: hey man I don't really know what that pattern is but send me a pic of it so I can check and find it.

Update: I have now started on mulicam. I'm working on making a few different versions of it to suit any ones needs. Also here are some pick of what I have done. Note these are not really finish product pics just to show how the camo is looking. I will be uploading the finish photos soon.

As for powder coat colors I have access to 6500 colors that I can order so anything you want I can get. And as for the hydro dip patterns I will be making a list with pictures as soon as I can get my computer to work but if you know what your looking for let me know and I will try to find what I can get that will match what you want. On hand I have carbon fiber and multicam but will be getting other popular patterns soon so I have them ready.
