Hello Im 16 years old and have been playing airsoft since I was twelve. I was introduced to it by my brother, who used to be a member of this team. I was instantly hooked becuase of the tactical aspect of the game, and I'm really interested in military stuff. I've owned a G3 A3 springer made by some obscure company, the famed Super-9, an ICS MP5 SD5, and now I have a TM FAMAS 5.56 F1 that is half way between a support weapon and a sniper rifle, I haven't figured out what I'm gonna do yet. I am currently on a team called Awatukee Tactical.

Hey guys, I'm sort of reintroducing myself as I'd like to get out and Airsoft once more, I joined last summer and only attended one AA event, the August Prescott match. I never got any of the stuff I was supposed to get after joining (death rag, name tape, all that) probably my own fault not getting in touch with whoever I was supposed to get in touch with. Anyway, I got caught up in school shortly after joining (I'm a student at ERAU in Prescott) and my time for this kind of stuff went down around 0. Now with summer approaching I'd like to get involved again and get to know all of you. I hope to attend several events in the coming months and get involved once more. Thanks and could someone in charge please respond or email me (larve949@erau.edu) to talk about getting the membership stuff (if necessary I'll pay the fee again).

Hello all,
Great forum you have here. Here’s my rundown. I played PB back about ten years ago (when you actually wore camo) and I was thinking about playing again. When I started to do some research I’ve discovered how horrible PB is nowadays. MX jerseys, Chrome and anodized $2000 markers, Bad sportsmanship and rampant cheating! WTF! I want no part of this crap. What I want is something more realistic and exciting and I think I’ve found it. The cost is pretty reasonable and the whole experience looks awesome. Time to do some NEW research. Thanks for letting me rant.

Welcome to the boards.  Many of people here are such as yourself.  WTF!  And so many turned to airsoft.  After your research, if there are any questions you may have, feel free to ask.
Just an FYI we have a minimum post count inorder to be able to start a thread.  We have this now due to an infestation of fly by nighters, who posted thier crap to sell and then never posted again. Don't worry its not to stringent, so people like you can get started in thier new hobby.  Have fun!

From what I've read so far I think I'll start with a decent GBB pistol and build up my gear first. I'm going to keep my eyes on the scedule for "open" games and I'll begin that way. One question, are they're any good local retailers around? I'm going to check out Jungle Toy TMW.

Hi all, I am Ralph.

My wife and I have lived in Phoenix for just over a year. We moved down from the Chino Valley/Prescott area.

Currently we are looking for new freinds, as well as something to do, that we can both enjoy.

My step-son first brought airsoft to our attention last summer, when he came down to visit with us. Since then I have occasionally, and half heartedly looked differant things up about the sport, and have found myself becoming more an more interested in getting involved.

Oh......on the lighter side, I did read the posts about children posting on the forum, and.... well.... we do have a 18 month old. But about the only time she'll be posting is when she climbs into one of our laps and starts hittng keys at random, while we are trying to type......so please be nice to her.....lol.

LOL Cochise...........Telling an 18 month old baby to do anything is like telling a brick wall to do something........anyway, I was being sarcastic.....lol

If she post anything, it will be because she hit the send button while her mother or I am typing

That's it, Jungle Toy.  Long story short an AA guy is in charge of the Az stores  :P   His name is Ron, good guy.  There are a couple other stores but they fall short on safety towards people in general and they sell French cybergun crap. Not to start this up agian, but most of us here dont like that company for many reasons.   Other than Jungle Toy here locally, everything else is on the internet.  Jungle Toy is realitively new here and its nice to have.  Hey Ron where is my advertising check?

I second that.  Jungle Toy is the sh*t.  Great selection for a local store, fully stocked with the essentials like gas and BBs of every weight.  Best part?  The staff knows their sh*t!  The "other" airsoft retailers around here are staffed by clueless teens whose airsoft gaming experience does not extend beyond the doors of their store.

We have games all the time, check the boards. We have people who come from all over the valley, Tuscon, and even Colorado to play at games, so it's not like airsoft is a "local" area hobby.  Airsoft is not something that you go to your local park and play, like you do with soccer.   We play out of the city limits and try to find secluded areas to play in. So, this nature requires the player to achieve some mode of transportation instead of traveling a few miles from one's house.  If I miss interpeted how you used the word "near", I appologize.
