Troubleshooting / STAR G36 mags double stack? WHAT?!

Yeah, I bought the 10 pack of STAR 30 round G36 mags from ASGI a while back, and just used them last weekend (for the first time), and to my surprise, they wouldn't feed worth crap. After a bit of frustration, I noticed that they were double stacking. I showed it to a few of the other people around, and everyone had the same reaction as me. "What the crap?!"

Is this "normal" for STAR mags, or what? How do I fix it?

As it is, the BBs get stuck in the mag, because they're trying to double stack. I tried lubing the mags, but that didn't help (I didn't really expect it to, either), I tried tightening the screws holding the internals together, but that didn't seem to help either... Should I return them, or what?

1 Demon possessed KWA G18C, Metal slide (courtesy of ASGI), 2x Guarder recoil springs/guide rods, two 50rd long mags, one standard. One or more of the mags have hi-flow valves, but I'm not sure which one(s). Make an offer, drop me a PM on more info about the demo possession.

1 TM Uzi, stock, well used with some scratches. Folding stock is a bit loose when folded, but may be fixable. I don't know, and haven't tried. I don't really have any interest in trying, either. Comes with two hicaps, one standard, two 8.4V 600MaH stick batteries. Asking $265 OBO or trade

1 MGC Mod. 655 Classic rifle. Sold as-is, as bought from Dust2Dust, along with an SRC RIS kit (requires longer screws and a stronger delta ring spring to fit properly). Asking $300 OBO or trade

1 BE Aug, stock, used once, maybe twice. Includes one mag, and a battery, if I can find it. May also include box and other accessories included as new, if I haven't thrown them away. Asking $70 OBO or trade

1 Spring M16 (whatever brand it is Sports Authority used to sell...) Includes a bunch of standard mags. What it lacks in power, it more than makes up for in accuracy. One of the more accurate guns I've owned. Asking $150 OBO or trade

More stuff may be added later. Main trade I'm looking for is Green Gas mags for a KWC Sigma .40F, but feel free to offer others. Pics available on request, but I'm out of town from Friday afternoon through sometime Sunday, so I'll get to it sometime after that. Buyer pays shipping. If you're under 18, don't bother asking, unless it's a straight trade. I'm not interested in hearing "well, I'll have my parents buy it, of course", either.

I'm also most likely not interested in trades for sniper rifles or M16/M4 variants. Feel free to offer, if you really want something though.

Accessories & Gear / TAG M60 rig?

So, a while back on Classicairsoft.net, I seem to recall seeing a guy that was selling some gear, and one piece (due to my upcoming gun) caught my eye. I believe he referred to it as either a TAG M60/M249 chest rig, or TAG SAW gunner rig (doesn't really matter which one, seeing as how they're pretty much the same thing, now does it?) or something like that.

The reason I'm posting this is because I can't find any information whatsoever about this rig (which I'd really be interested in), even on TAG's website... Anyone heard anything about it?

Now that I have money again, and I'll soon have a new gun (most likely the last gun I'll be buying in quite a while), I've suddenly become interested in buying gear. :lol:

Speaking of which, I suppose I could create another topic for it, but if anyone happens to have any ACU or Urban gear they're thinking about selling, drop me a PM.

Troubleshooting / KWA G18C killed itself?

I just recieved my KWA Glock 18C from airsoftgi today. It's the full upgrade one, metal slide, upgraded recoil spring, high-flow valve, all that good stuff. So naturally, as soon as I opened it, I took outside, filled the mag with Green gas, dropped the included BBs in the mag, and emptied the mag on full auto. (Which was very nice, btw) I thought "Wow, that was cool, let's do that again!" refilled the mag with BBs, cocked it, pulled the trigger (full auto again), it gets 2 shots out, then stops. I dropped the mag out and tried to pull the slide back, (assuming that a BB got jammed) but it's stuck. It only moves back maybe a quarter inch, but if I pull the tabs down to disassemble it, it slides forward maybe an inch, then stops. What do I do?

Well, I bought it new, but I bought it many months ago. Anyways, it's a Benelli Nova 12g Pump Action, (See pic here. Warning, it's huge) and I was wondering about a couple things.

One, cleaning. What sort of cleaning is required here in AZ? It's a synthetic stock, so I'm assuming there's no cleaning or anything involved there, but I've asked a few people and get different answers. Some say oil it frequently, others say don't. I already have a Bore Snake, is that all I need?

The other thing: I don't hunt, I really just bought this for "target practice" (go ahead, laugh if you want) and for the fun of a shotgun. (It is loads of fun to shoot, by the way) Are there any good places to shoot it near Mesa, that don't close before 6PM? Caswell's will only let me shoot it if there's pretty much nobody else there. (very rare) And everywhere else I've found closes too early. (Ben Avery is kinda far to drive, either way. Haven't checked the hours though)

Troubleshooting / CA G36 trouble

First off, I've had this same problem with this gun before. I took it to JT with no luck, then SAD, who managed to "fix" it, although they didn't seem to know what they actually did to fix it. I really don't want to pay to have it fixed again, so if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Last time I used it (a couple weeks ago?) it worked fine. Now, I took it out, pop the battery and a loaded mag in, pull the trigger, and I just hear a little sound, then nothing. Pull the trigger again, nothing. Set it to full, pull the trigger, pops one shot off, then nothing. (By "nothing", I mean it just makes that little sound)

Now, as I've made clear before, I don't know a whole lot about the internals (which I'd like to fix, but without breaking anything), but to me, it sounds like the motor works, it just can't pull the spring, or something. (Which reminds me, I should make sure those batteries were actually charged... They should've been, but who knows?) It's kinda hard to describe the sound, but I'd say it's sort of a "whining" noise, like it just doesn't have enough power. And on that subject, is it possible for a fully charged battery to lose enough of it's charge in two or three weeks that it wouldn't have enough power to get one shot off?
Also, I checked the fuse, and it's fine (I even tried it without the fuse, just to see what would happen. Which probably wasn't a brilliant idea, now that I think about it.).

So, any ideas?

AEG's / SR25 upgrades

So, once I get some money again, I plan on placing an order at Redwolf, consisting of the following: (plus some things I just remembered now)

G&G SR25 Sniper - $472.00 /w free shipping
King Arms Rail Mount Folding Handguard Bipod - $72.00
TSC 3-9x50 Scope - $52.00
Large Type 8.4V 2000mah battery, fits in G&G SR25 stock - $25.00
TLP 4000C IntelliCharger with Discharger - $43.80
I planned on adding a few mags, but they don't have them at Redwolf, apperently.

Now, I have a couple questions. First, will the Systema FTK's for M4's, M16's, or SR-16's work with this, or are there upgrades specific to the SR25? If they won't, what parts should I get? Second, as this is a semi-auto only rifle, it would fall under the sniper rules, limited to 500 fps, correct? Is there some reason I'm just failing to see that would explain why the G&P SR25 is quite a bit more expensive than the G&G? Should I get the G&P instead? Last thing, (I think) does anyone have recommendations on a different scope, bipod, etc? Am I missing anything other than BB's and mags?

While I'm at it, two other semi-related questions:
1. Although I only looked through the first 5 or so pages of scope mounts, etc on Redwolf, I didn't see any sort of "riser" or whatever you'd call it that simply attaches to an existing rail to raise the height of the rail.

2. Seeing as how I've never even cracked a gun open before, should I have the internal upgrades done by Redwolf, or risk breaking the gun and doing it myself as a learning experience?

Troubleshooting / Taking down Desert Eagle

Ok, I'm not sure if this is a KWC or Cybergun or whatever it's called, but whichever it is, it's the CO2 version.

I've been having problems with this gun since the day I bought it, I've taken it back to JT (where I bought it) at least once, and I've also taken it to SAD twice or more. Each time, we thought it was fixed, but each time, I got back home and it still has problems. I'm beyond the point of taking it somewhere and trying to get it fixed, now I just want to take it apart and see if I can learn a thing or two about it, and maybe even figure out what's really wrong with it. I've gotten the barrel off, no problem, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the stupid slide off. I think it may be related to the problems it's always been having, because when I pull the slide back, which I think is how I'm supposed to be able to take it off, sometimes it gets stuck on the hammer. I just spent half an hour trying to figure it out, and another 45 minutes searching online, with no luck.

If anyone has had experience with it, or ideas on what to do, I'd appreciate it.

So, I was thinking, (scary, huh?) do you think it would be possible to do (extensive) modifications to convert a TM Fa-Mas into what would basically be a super accurate sniper rifle? I mean, with the bullpup design, the barrel is already (from what I've heard) about as long as a standard assault rifle, so if you extend it a bit, add a silencer, bipod and scope, and make it semi-only... You'd have a very weird, but unique sniper rifle.

On a related note, I have yet to take apart any of my aeg's (Don't want to break 'em and not be able to figure out how to put it back together.), so I don't know how the internals work. This may sound odd, and maybe even be utterly useless, or even really stupid, but would it be possible to fill the inside of the body with foam to make the gun quieter? Or are there exposed moving parts in there? I really should just take apart my 552, it's broken anyways...

Troubleshooting / WE Hi-Capa feed issues

Ok, so here's the problem...

I load the mag, insert it, pull back the slide, pull the trigger, it fires fine, cycles fine (except it seems to spray a little gas, but that's a whole different issue). Then, with every following shot, it still cycles fine, but doesn't actually fire the BB. They're not jamming inside or anything, it just stops feeding.

Any ideas? I'm not the most technically inclined person around here, so if you need more info, please ask, and if you have a fix (aside from taking it to JT to get it fixed) please make it easy to understand.

edit: Also, I assume I'm supposed to be using Green Gas, correct? (it has the metal slide and all that) I'm just wondering because with about 4 seconds worth of gas, it gets about 6-8 shots before it either runs out, or sprays the rest of the gas in a nice cloud. (I think there may be a bad o-ring somewhere)

Ok, I just bought the above mentioned gun from JT today, and I've got a really noob question... I can't figure out how to cock it. :roll: Help?

Also, Dusty said that the mags were the same for the Sniper version (the one I got) and the other versions, but the second one he gave me doesn't seem to fit. Is it a problem with that specific one, or are they not the same after all?
