Nice! I'm currently in the process of enlisting for the Navy! I can't wait to get out there and serve with all the brave men and women defending our country (though Marines are a bit more hardcore than a Naval engineer. :p).

It all depends on what happens to you while you in. Trust me. If someone would have told me before I went into the Navy that ship I was on would be hit by two mines, I would have thought they were on drugs. But that happened to me and 430+ other people. So you never know.

As to who's hardcore, You will find those sort of folk in every branch (and Yes even the Coast Guard). It really is all about attitude and what they choose to do while they are in. Depending on what you choose to do (or in many cases what's chosen for you) as Engineer, that can be hardcore. For example, if you work on atomic reactors on a carrier that counts. I don't know too many people that would want to do that.

Cool beans on the video. Post a link to it, if you can.

BTW, I know all about the follower on the Timberwolf. I had to replace all of them already on the magazines I have.

No worries. I'm not saying that it will happen. I'm just saying that from what I've found it's not uncommon for it happen.

Gas Powered Guns / Echo 1 Timberwolf broken outer barrel

I'll admit this is more of rant than anything else. I've been having issues with feeding on the magazines with my Echo 1 Timberwolf, so I've been working on fixing that. So when I was testing it, all of sudden, the outer barrel shoots out and lands on the floor. Color me surprised when that happened.

Here for your amusement is a picture of the outer barrel pieces.

Needless to say, after looking online a little bit, I found that this is not uncommon with the Echo 1 Timberwolf (or the WE 17 on which it's based).

Combine this with the magazine feed issues I've had with 3 different magazines, I'd have to advise anyone considering buying this to stay clear.

As an additional note, I can not in good faith recommend the KWA ATP pistols if someone was looking for a Glock style pistol. While KWA tries to market the ATP as a training tool, personal experience in a training environment with new KWA ATPs, makes the ATP a no go. Too many failures (Not to mention the way they hide the gas fill point).

Although, I don't remember how much they cost, I do know they sell BioBBs. It seems they were pretty much on par with what you expect for a 1kg bag. For planning purposes, it's safe to just go with $20. I think they had .20g & .25g.  I want to say they had .28g BBs but I'm not sure they might have been .30g.

They also have dead rags for sale and you can rent a barrel sleeve if you don't have one.

I'm very likely going to come out tomorrow night, so if I do hope to see you out there.

I might be interested in the CA Sportsline. I have one and I've already put it through some hell (broke and repaired somethings already) and I'm thinking it might be a good thing to have for parts. I hate to spend the money but you are still asking $50?

Well, Welcome to the Valley of the Sunstroke. You arrive just in time for the heat to start settling in.

Good to know. I've never been out to that location, so I wasn't sure what it was like out there. Is there anything I should know besides what's on the website?

I was wondering how the turn out for Wed Nights has been? With my current schedule this seems my best chance to get a little play in. And so I'm wondering if anyone knows how many people have been showing up to the Wed night games and if it would actually be worth it to come out.

Well Bandit like the other guy said Welcome to AZ and the "Dry Heat" vs the "Humidity" of Texas.

With Summer on the upswing, I'm not sure how many games are really going to be out there. I know I've been sort of looking but with my weekends being the way they are right now, the summer hours at places like Fightertown are out (although I might look into the Wed night games). As Ruberup pointed out, just look in the games listing section on this forum and see what people are up to.

My weekends are usually full. The Wed nights might be something I can do. It will be interesting to see what the crowds are like on Wed nights.

Troubleshooting / Echo 1 Timberwolf Magazines
« on: May 12, 2014, 06:54:07 AM »
I was wondering if anyone has had issues with their magazines not feeding BBs for the Timberwolf?  The reason I ask, I have 2 of them that have developed this issues. I followed some instruction to take them apart, and I discovered something odd. Seems the plastic follower has broken into two pieces. They fit together but since it's not a single piece anymore, what it seems to be doing is causing the BBs to get out of alignment and there by they jam up. While I Googled looking for a similar situation, I didn't find anything, so I thought I'd ask here if people have seen the follower broken like that? The thing that blows my mind is how pricey replacement followers are. Echo 1 seems to want $10 per follower, and then 10.50 for shipping which means together that's about the cost of a new mag, if I fixed both of them.

While I completely understand why there was the switch to Fridays from Thursdays. Friday evenings are just not a time I am available. If I have an opening at some point, I'll show up but I can not make any promises at this point.

Outside of the one box that clearly says 422fps, do you know what the fps is on the other AEGs?
