I have me and three guys who are interested in playing in this game under the U.S. side Seal team if possible? And is there going to be a certain cost to play?

MTT is coordinating an event similar to what has been proposed in this thread at Fighter Town some time later this year or early next year.

Our staff and a number of role players will serve as the Somali militia.  This will let most airsoft players serve as the various military units involved in the mission.

The cost of the MTT event will probably be about $15 for our members and $30 for the general public.  More info will be released about the event after we finish Confrontation '09.

Depending on the date I'd be down as a Somali. The AKM is a versatile weapon

I know everyone will bitch about not being able to wear their l337 ACU/Marpat/Mulitcam/Desert Tiger loadout but I kind of think the uniform restrictions should be stricter. It just seems wrong to see someone in ACU doing a Battle of Mogadishu scenario. If everyone wears their Mulitcam/Marpat/Whatever it might as well be a 2009 generic downed helicopter scenario. If you made Delta & Rangers wear 6-Color or 3-Color desert, and the Seals and Pararescue guys wear Woodland it would at least be 1993 ish. I'm not going to be a super realism whore and say you have to do away with molle gear or RIS rails on guns but if it's going to be a BHD recreation then a little effort should be put into looking a little like it would have. Besides its about $20 for a set of used BDU's at a surplus store, nothing ridiculous. Hell, I'll loan someone a set of BDU's or DCU's if they can't afford $20.

I understand where your coming from, sure I wouldn't want to see a lot of ACU. Not every one can afford more gear or another uniform at the time. While you can loan out some that doesn't mean everyone will still have a 3-color desert. As for the RIS, they had guns with RIS in that "Era". Also I would Imagine that the SEALs and PJs would have worn the 3-color Desert. My personal opinion would be 3-color desert, ACU, choco-chip, and desert Marpat only for US forces. It makes it simple and keeps with the color scheme. Thats means NO ABU, Multicam, Woodland, Desert Tiger, or Other fancy-schmancy Uniform.

Actually the first M4's with M1913 rails came out in 1994 which missed Operation Gothic Serpent by almost exactly 12 months.  Rial forends didn't come out until the SOPMOD program even later. I suggested woodland because it fits the time period and many people have it. There are no pictures of Special Tactics or SEAL Team operators during the Battle of Mogadishu so as far as I know they wore them. I know for sure they didn't wear ACU. Its a little difference that changes a "get the pilot" scenario to a BHD one.

I might be interested, and I could get a group of four guys, in matching uniform, for the SEAL team.  Won't be able to if there are realistic uniform requirements, though.
