Local Games Listing/RSVP / Re: Monthly Airsoft Game (Four Peaks) Jan 4th
« on: December 05, 2013, 09:29:41 AM »
Thanks, and what do "standard AA rules" say about high cap mag use? I only run midcaps, but have other friends who want to come.

Good question Trumpet

When I say standard AA rules I am talking about the rules about (No Blind fire, Call blindman when a non combatant is in the area of play etc..)

As for high caps and Mid Caps we will not be holding any rules for these this game. In the future if we do I will notate that on the original post. All we are asking this game is that everyone try and play the part by not wearing jeans or anything too off of mil-sim uniforms. I.E: no bright colors, don't mix dark and light clothing etc.

I hope this answers your questions.

I get what he is going for... I do. But this is IMO more towards real life training not airsoft.  I know combat training groups that are more relaxed

I will give you props if you manage to get more than 1 person to show up.

Good luck to you!

Hooah!

You have pictures?

How many rounds does the current motor have on it? Has it been replaced or original motor?
These motors from that year were not very reliable and had major commutator issues. Do you know if the motor has has a rebuild at all?  If so who did the rebuild?

Pictures of the motor would be great too. (Want to see the state of the commutator and the brushes)

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: Best and worst local stores for airsoft
« on: November 21, 2013, 05:45:36 PM »
Tell you the truth I don't really support any of the Arizona stores. I think there is too much bias opinion on here with what you guys are talking about.

Vanguards tech's are a joke. (I do my own work)
Tempe isn't really up and running so I cannot say much there. Though they have some decent prices for the stock they have.
Sector9 I wouldn't go to because it's clear on the other side of town for me. Things I have heard though is that it's really small  and also not a lot of stock. However that's just from what I have heard.
Same for APD but then again APD is also expensive and I don't trust the techs. (Used to go there back in the day)

I am normally about supporting local businesses but I have to say I lost my favorite Arizona store... Gearbox.

Now I just find what I need either ampedarisoft.com or ehobbyasia.com

But in all honesty it seems like this thread was more of a promotion for Sector 9 than it was about finding out opinions on local airsoft stores.  I know that some of the people that have responded on here have ties to Sector 9 as well.

You would be hard pressed to get most people to play for 6-8 hours. I am not holding anyone back if they want pickup games after.

The games have always been on average 2-4 hours.

I am glad that everyone had some fun. Including the newbies that came out and made this their first experience!

Thanks Shadow Viper for taking the pictures. (Normally I bring my camera but I was itching to play)

Airsofter1 thank you for delivering the donations we had. I am glad we were able to surprise her. Ron meant a lot to us and this sport. He will be forever missed.

Alright guys games on!

Roster has been updated for the last time.

Things you should bring to the game

  • WATER (Regardless that it's not hot you can still become dehydrated)
  • Red death rag  Don't get pissed off if people keep shooting you for not having one. They don't know you called it and they probably can't hear you over the sound of their replica shooting.
  • Integrity This is a sport of honesty leave your wizard armor at home. Anyone caught repeatedly not calling their hits will be publicly called out on the forums. Have a problem with me or any of the staff testing you with honor shots... Then stay home.

I get it I do. Though, we still live in Arizona not CA where the (Cop Killer Law was attempted)

Ah well then. It's for a good cause and we go as a team every year.

Sixth Column +5 Tan

Put that down tentatively. Numbers will change possibly.

Whats the reason for the orange tape?

Here is a picture of what we call Project A.C.I.D
Click to open picture

It's computer controlled with a few neat features.

NFC(near field communication)  There are NFC chips that can change the status of the device to (Armed, Disarmed, or Detonate) The containers on the right (Biohazard stickers) have smokes in them for when the device detonates. (Simulation)

Also it has radio communication controls. Over FRS it will communicate it's status. A predetermined command channel for the device will be set. When the device is triggered by an event it will play a sound file over an FRS channel. This is to communicate it's status to all players participating.(Who is on the FRS channel it is assigned to) Distance of transmission ranges from 1/4 of a mile to 1 mile.

If this doesn't get you ready to go for the game I don't know what will.

Guns up is this Saturday lets rock!

This is a toy and meant only as a Simulation device. This is NOT REAL.

Do people not see the hypocrisy here? Victor you specifically changed your post because you realized what you said was terrible.

Don't support a group/company that is going to treat their patrons this way.. This is absolutely terrible.

I heard about plenty of the problems and the way patrons were treated at the Nov 2nd game. I myself would never tolerate that kind of crap.

Not to mention..  You charged people after you met 100 players for a event. What does that tell you? I think people protect you Victor because they don't see you for who you really are. You are just like Mike....

I have never supported Marauders I will continue on my path.. Good Riddance.
