At the Crimson Dunes game, three of the five trucks there had .50 cal guns mounted on them that had both been converted to AEG's and fired at 400 FPS.  There was also an "ARGO" armored 8 wheeler that had dual AEG cannons...  was pretty cool.

The ARGO:  <img src="http://sdairsoft.tripod.com/opcd41.jpg" border=0>
another ARGO pic:  <img src="http://sdairsoft.tripod.com/opcd47.jpg" border=0>

One of the .50 cals on a deuce and a half:  <img src="http://sdairsoft.tripod.com/opcd43.jpg" border=0>

The twin .30's on the Argo were done excellently.  The .50 though was really a crappy design I thought.  Looking forward to seeing what your Korean friend has come up with Vell!

I agree.  Actually, there were at least two .50 cal's:  one was the real thing, but gutted for an AEG while the other looked like it was scrap metal pieced together to look *similar* to a real .50 cal.  I couldn't find any pics of the real one.

Before your jealousy over TAG already having a .50, and AA not having one yet, gets really out of hand ;), I think I should tell ya that that was just a first prototype. Jack from Q Project built that just a few weeks before the game, and was really just to see if it would stand up to skirmish use or not. We're working on making a metal body and such for it, but it takes time and cash! Apparently, Smoochie knows a machinist who owes him a favor or two. That's a handy thing to have, seeing as how he owns a Duece and a Half, too. That's his Duece, with me goin' all Rambo with a borrowed P99 from Sunday at Op:CD. The .50 ran dry of gas, which was why it was turned around backwards and not being used. Dang, that thing's a bb hose, though!

Oh, BTW, thanks for the tagline under my name, but that was Bad Karhma, AKA Naked Jay, who was belly dancing in the Swinger/Union Jack shorts with the Chicken Man hat. I was taking pics of the whole thing, rather than becoming famous in the bad way that he so often craves!

They gutted some actual fifties?  Seems a waste of a fine weapon to me....  Of course its probably worth it to some people.

Nah, the metal one in the back of the Cimmerian's truck was sheet steel made to look like a realone. Nicely de someone would let you try them out for some rounds
Also look on the forums as well for reveiws etc on each one
If it was me I would go for the MP5, but that is only my preference

Hope this helps
Title: Airsoft .50 cal M2 HB
Post by: TheCrow on August 25, 2002, 06:19:16 PM
This is only the teaser...I have found a locally (Korean) manufactured M2HB .50cal heavy machinegun!  One of the White Scorpion team members has a few engineering skills that he has been hiding from me.  I will send pictures and further details when my host team emails them to me.  All I can say about it is this: It is one awesome support weapon!!!
