Mosin Nagant Sporterized Rifle

Bought Mosin Nagant with a Monte Carlo Stock and modified bolt handle. Added Cheekpad, Cartridge holder. ATI Scope Mount. Leapers 4x32 MilDot Scope.

Groupings are bout 1in, 1 and half off from dead center on a 6 x 6 target at bout 85 yards, 5 rounds. Poor shot that day.

Very nice, Nik!  Looks pretty good with the stock... more "modern."

Here's my "dragoon" Mosy...  all original, russian markings.  I was hoping to one day install a modified bolt (bent) to allow install of PU scope famous for use on the Mosin-Nagant.

Scope mount limits the use of my stripper clips, but I do enjoy this "modern" look to it. Does yours feel heavy or unbalanced with the wood?

Well yeah it's a bit heavy, but not as unbalanced as you would imagine... it's balanced quite well.  The weight helps with recoil.
