Swap Meet @ Tempe Armory Sat 26 April
« on: April 20, 2008, 11:11:47 PM »
Exact details to follow this week.

The swap meet at Gearbox Airsoft was such a hit, that more room was needed! So using the Tempe Armory is natural fit.

With Red Dagger and Lion Claws just around the corner get the last of the gear, and guns you need. Or just stop by hang out and meet your squad/platoon for Red Dagger, or Lion Claws.

Gearbox Airsoft will be on site, I'm not sure what they'll be bringing out.

1000 E University Dr Tempe, Az 85281 1000 - till?

Entire (indoor) Armory floor space open. FREE tables aviliable. buy, sell, trade.

Sign up for free training classes.

Check out some static displays, and climb the rock wall.

All ages welcome.

Vendors - if your intrested in a free table call me, Cpl Keenan at 602-377-6322

ATTENTION! THIS EVENT IS NOW POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE (to still be determined)

Unfortunately, we have to postpone this swapmeet until a later date. We'll let you know as soon as we are able to reschedule the day, as we are trying to make this event much bigger than the one we held over at Gearbox Airsoft by adding more dealers, more activities, airsoft/tactical related seminars, etc. If you're interested in setting up a space to sell your stuff, or if you just want more detailed information, contact Patrick (his info is in his post above) or contact Ron (me!) at the following address/number:

Gearbox Airsoft
1833 E. Southern Ave.
Tempe, AZ 85282
(480) 831-8162

Sorry for the inconvenience, but the reschedule will make for a much better experience!

This is what we are trying to achieve, eventually. It's in the very beginning stages of planning, but if we can get everyone together in a focused environment, with players, dealers, and people just learning about our hobby in one location, it should be entertaining at the very least. :)

I like that idea, I think if we educate people properly about our hobby, we could help build a very positive image.

It sounds like we're all pretty much on the same page. If you have ideas, I'd love to hear them! If you want to do a video, I'm sure it can be arranged, and tactical classes are already being planned too.

Truthfully, the key word is "we." If you want to see something like this happen more often, pitch in and help get it done - we can use all the help we can get! Thanks for the feedback.

Well we're all talking about getting in shape for Lions Claw? Why not do a charity run for troops? Just a thought I had at this ungodly hour...

So you are making a convention style event? With tables dedicated to style of weapons and gear?

Such as making an entire tables dedicated for M4s, M16s, G36s, Mp5s and etc.. all in different configs. Such as having say the G36 table with a G36, G36e, AG36, G36 KSK, G36k and G36c or a M4 table with the various modifications that can be done. I don't own an M4s so I don't know what they are called.

With other tables dedicated to gear like CT, Condor, BH and TT with the various camo.

I for one would like to see the Russian camo/gear some members picked up.

You would also need a video/picture table to highlight the various games being played.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I still think this would be a great Idea. I missed the last one at the Gearbox, and was really pissed :x . It sounds like this is going to be of an informative kind of meet showing new players what all this wonderful hobby is about. If that's the case if there's anything I can do to help out, let me know. I'm going over to Devildogs house today and was thinking of maybe trying to get a little bit of footage of our little backyard scimmage since that's what most of the new guys start out with. Just an idea.
