Nothing as simple and effective as a Glock inder the driver's seat. Had that all the way to TX and back. Lot of lunatics on those roads

I believe this is considered a concealed weapon. In order to have a weapon ready and not concealed, you must have it in a seperate compartment with a holster that you must unsnap, or unzip to have access to the weapon. Of course, if you have a CCW (which I believe you do - this is mainly for those that don't), this is a non-issue if you are riding by yourself. Technically, if you have someone in the car who is not a CCW holder, you have to follow the same rules. Now, who would prosecute for something like that? Just about no one, but that is the law as I have been told by CCW instructors.

Be careful getting legal opinions from CCW instructors....  especially if they are police officers...

they tend to have different opinions than what the courts do.

Only a licensed attorney in AZ can give legal opinions....

I agree. The ccw instructor was a former defense attorney, so I count him as pretty trustworthy.

Very much the exception and not the norm... must have been an interesting class when discussing the scenarios....  I actually got into a "disagreement" with my CCW instructor... but there were 2 law students and 3 attorneys in my class so he had zero chance.....

but it was informing for everyone else!
