Airsoft Items FOR SALE / 2 KJW P226s for sale SPF
« on: July 20, 2008, 03:17:22 PM »
Okay, I've got 2 KJW Full Metal P226's for sale. The one on the left of the pic has been to 2 games and has some dings, but functions flawlessly and has only had a couple of hundred bb's through it.

The one on the right has only been test fired.

They function great, have great power, and are just damn cool looking.

$90 for one, $160 for both. OBO

Each pistol comes with 1 mag.

I have 4 extra mags to go with them for $15 each.

I'll only do FTF in Tucson.

Thanks.

I've since ditched every piece of the rifle except for the single stage trigger (which will be changed to a two stage at some point) and the lower receiver.

I personally don't understand the desire for the 2 stage trigger.  I'm not knocking the people who like them or use them, I just think a nice clean low weight single stage trigger is the way to go if you're shooting less than 1000 yrds

I don't know about all that but its nice to know that if I want to open carry I can.... and if I want to cover it up I can....

absopositutely!  I love having the option.  When I'm home in Texas, it gets to be kind of annoying to ALWAYS cover up my gun.

Oh, and I don't think it's a matter of if Congress COULD, but if Congress WOULD pass legislation to that effect

you mean WON'T be fixed.  They're not going to change anything until they get sued.  again.  they put up their idea of "reasonable" restrictions, said come on in and try to register, then called it good, problem solved.

Hum, no surprise here, but still very dissapointing.

"WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- District residents can start registering their guns today. But at least one very high profile application was already rejected.

Dick Heller is the man who brought the lawsuit against the District's 32-year-old ban on handguns. He was among the first in line Thursday morning to apply for a handgun permit.

But when he tried to register his semi-automatic weapon, he says he was rejected. He says his gun has seven bullet clip. Heller says the City Council legislation allows weapons with fewer than eleven bullets in the clip. A spokesman for the DC Police says the gun was a bottom-loading weapon, and according to their interpretation, all bottom-loading guns are outlawed because they are grouped with machine guns.

Besides obtaining paperwork to buy new handguns, residents also can register firearms they've had illegally under a 180-day amnesty period.

Though residents will be allowed to begin applying for handgun permits, city officials have said the entire process could take weeks or months. "

Thoughts?

I don't know anybody who was ever sad they bought something "too nice."

My EOtech is too nice.  It makes me lazy  8)

I've abused all makes and models of AR's.  Each has it's benefits and downfalls.  The point is, if it's your first AR, get a decent one, and that will probably be the brand that you like best from now until eternity.  I personally currently have a Stag Arms, but I love Vltor and LMT for fit, finish, performance and reliability.  I just didn't want to spend the money.

The question is how long before gang-bangers and criminals start painting their barrels orange? It may only fool police or decent citizens momentarily, but sometimes a moment is all that's needed.

I don't think it will matter one little bit.  If the gangs ever did actually manage to be gay enough to paint their guns orange, they would still get shot by the cops, as proved by the incident this thread is about.

um, wow.  Anyways.

Hey Doc,  do you think the PD there could get away with harassing people with firearms?  I don't think it likely, not just because too many people are going to be watching, but because I don't think most cops are into harassing people over bulls#@t.

I just worry about the phrasing.  "generally" bothers me.  It bothers me what restrictions they're going to try making now.  As you said, that's why I live here in Arizona, but I can still be concerned for friends stuck in D.C.  I have lots of friends and a family member that live in the area.  My family member makes enough money to live in Baltimore and commute but my friends can't afford that.  They live in D.C., work in D.C., carry a gun all day everyday at their jobs, and have to disarm themselves to go home.

Damn sorry

The following is a memo sent to Washington, DC residents by Cathy Lanier, Washington, DC Chief of Police:

From: Lanier, Cathy (MPD)
Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2008 6:35 PM
Subject: Supreme Court Update

Residents,

Unfortunately, the Supreme Court today struck down part of the District of Columbia's handgun ban. I wanted to drop you a note to let you know the immediate impact of this decision.

The Supreme Court's ruling is limited and leaves intact various other laws that apply to private residents who would purchase handguns or other firearms for home possession. It is important that everyone know that:

a.. First, all firearms must be registered with the Metropolitan Police Department's Firearms Registration Section before they may be lawfully possessed.
a.. Second, automatic and semiautomatic handguns generally remain illegal and may not be registered.
a.. Third, the Supreme Court's ruling is limited to handguns in the home and does not entitle anyone to carry firearms outside his or her own home.

Lastly, although the Court struck the safe storage provision on the ground that it was too broadly written, in my opinion firearms in the home should be kept either unloaded and disassembled or locked.

I will comply with the Court's reading of the Second Amendment in its letter and spirit. At the same time, I will continue to vigorously enforce the District's other gun-related laws. I will also continue to find additional ways to protect the District's residents against the scourge of gun violence.

Residents who want additional information can visit the Metropolitan Police Website at http://www.mpdc.dc.gov/gunregistration. Residents with questions are encouraged to contact the Firearms Registration Section at 202-727-9490.

Sncerely,

Cathy Lanier
Chief of Police
