Ok after researching the Taurus PT-1911, I've heard a few good things, but a lot more problems.

I've finally narrowed my decision to this little hotty, anybody ever shoot one of these who could give me some first hand feedback??

I am not sure it is the identicle model but a good friend of mine has one just like that. He has 2-3 springfield 1911s and he loves them. He is a guy that knows his guns too, competes in IPSC with one like the one you have pictured.

Any problems feeding ammo, sensitive to a particular brand of mags?  The gun is a *little* pricy at $1,150 but you pay for quality.  I know Kimbers are expensive and I've seen one or two of them have major malfuntions, so price doesn't always equal quality.

Finally got out and fired a lot of rounds out of the SA 1911 (plate shooting match).

Pro's:
Sights
Recoil
No Jams
Looks cool

Con's:
Mags sometimes stick when being ejected
Mag release is small and hard to engage
Price
Cannot use standard 1911 holsters due to the rail (bought a Safariland 6280 mid ride holster)
