Listen kids, which most of you are, and know this well.

The law is the law. You do NOT get the liberty to pick and chose which laws you want to abide by because it manages to overlap with your hobbies. The laws passed and enforced are not biased or directed at any individual or group in question. Odds are the Police departments have no clue or even care who you all are. The people that set these laws into motion do NOT care you can not leave town or get to the appropriate area to shoot. Remember you are NOT 18 years of age and for the most part not seen as a contributing member of society(voting, taxes) so the only thing they care about is SAFETY. Not only the safety of yourselves but those around you. Other than your home(which is not even yours) you have no right to use or have ownership of ANYTHING. How long you have been playing or the level of safety you take DOES NOT MATTER if the use is illegal or the user. The sport you have chosen replicates WEAPONS all of which have been designed to KILL and nothing more. My P90, G36 and AUG are weapons of war designed to kill human beings, that is why they exist. Most people, including experienced airsofters, can not tell the difference between a Baretta M9 and a HFC M9 at 30 feet in DAY LIGHT. That is a very good reason why these types of laws are passed. Knowingly or not they SAVE your life or the life someone else. By Arizona statute(which I will not quote you look it up) it is a misdemeanor to even SHOOT a person with an airsoft gun and a FELONY depending on the situation and who you shoot. Even pointing the gun in the direction of someone that doesn't know what it is, is a FELONY.  Also no waiver on EARTH can protect a person from killing or seriously wounding another insanely more so then a "innocent" kid.

Let's say that, as an example, the Forest Service owns the land that you wish to use and give no permission tough luck. You have no rights to use THEIR land that they upkeep. Trespassing is trespassing regardless of age or intentions(unless its lawful) and you are ALWAYS in the wrong. What would have happened if you or your friends you have been attacked by a mountain lion or bitten by a snake? Even though the Forest Service has already said no there is ALWAYS the chance they could get into trouble even more so if they did not know you were there. A dead kid or serious injury on their watch on their land will not sit well with them or the government. All because some people wanted to play a game and disregard what they were told making legal players suffer. Do you even know what will happen to the officer that kills a kid due to an airsoft gun all because he was doing his job or those Forest workers you just put in the cold not stopping they knew nothing about.

As said before, LIFE IS UNFAIR. It gets worse when you get older depending on the choices you make now. People do not forget comments, actions or first impressions. You get no seconds chances and your buddy WILL rat you out(stats show it). Tell your SOB story to the mother of my little brothers friend who died doing something that they should not have been at their age. I don't even think it was an open casket.

Wow...  I'm going to stay out of the politics of this one for right now since it appears less then a handful are making a mess for the many...

I wanted to speak on the forest service comment above.  I've been working with the forest service for the past year getting AOs opening for airsoft use down by Tucson and its tough work.  They have liabilities to worry about with us being out there plus the fact that there is a chance someone is going to trash the place.  The forest service WILL prosecute you if you use the land without a permit/waiver and are caught.  Not to mention there are some of us in the community that will not forgive an indiscretion that reflects this sport negatively in their eyes, due to all the work we are doign with them to make sure they dont see airsoft as just another paintball game.

Anyhow, enough of my rant, as far as I knew you guys had nothing to do with any forest service land and it was a hypothetical statement made bu Uchiha Itachi.

Oops yea I will change that. I just grabbed the Forest Service, it just came to mind since it was late. It was in no way political.

No worries, from what I had seen that was not the case just wanted to chime in on the actual Forest Service aspect of it since it was used as an example (erroneous as it may be), sorry to get off topic.

Yea by the time I wrote that I was in a cracker/coca cola/Dorito trance. Towards the middle I kinda drifted. If you want me to get rid of the reference all together I will. It was stupid of me to use a group that I don't know the policies of.

The point I was trying to make was you must think of what your actions will do. Not only will the illegal actions of one person effect them and those directly around them but also everyone involved or not. Just because no one is hurt during this illegal activity(say trespassing) does not make the crime any less illegal or wrong. You do not own the land nor have any rights to use them, simple as that. If someone gets hurt while doing this how is anyone supposed to find you and get you out or a member of the party gets lost who is a minor? Being 18- there are plenty of things to do that are completely legal and at no other time in your life will have this much free time/care. Don't waste it in jail.

I'm also sorry about the rant. My brother was taken back by the incident involving his friends. One kid will forever be crippled and have to live with the fact his friend, who was his accomplice, died. All because they thought they were older/more experienced and bullet proof(not literally) then disregarded the law.

I do have to disagree with the above statement. The law system is extremely biased now, when compared to the laws a hundred or hundred-fifty years ago. Regardless, gun laws are in place for a very good reason.. As far as making Airsoft look like a good sport. I have to agree with what seems ot be the ongoing agreement between AA members.. 1 person can ruin it for all of us, so we need to continue getting permission to play int he places we play and sticking clear of places where people (such as the South Mountain Park rangers) have said 'no'.

Alcohol is a good example of what will happen if we don't keep on folks who don't have the respect of experiance to understand this. I can legally drink in over 70 countries in the world right now, and in many countries, I could've been drinking a lot younger. I am a responsible drinker when I do have a bit and I'm intelligent enough to stear clear of driving, even if I've just had one drink. However, some group of kids (several groups of many people, actually) screwed it up for the responsible folk like me here in Arizona. The law is 21 now because a few people ruined it for the bigger picture.

Let's not let something of a similar nature happen to Airsoft. I don't want to be confined to places like Fort Adobe (not that it's a abd palce) for my games.

I don't think its so much as younger players don't have respect as it is they don't have experience with the consequences of their actions yet.  Something that only life experiences can provide as you age.
That and they don't usually have the means to transport themselves further out of town.

Actually when i was 13 I was playing airsoft with my spring guns and the police were called. They actually took away our guns and impounded them and sent them to me in the mail lol...

Oh and about the transportation thing, thats basically the biggest problem for airsofters under 16. WE CANT GO ANY WHERE. And it sorta makes me angry.

Lol... My couzin was airsofting with this retard kid and i was watching (only because 2v1 would not be fair, now if he had a team mate i surely would join in on the battle) and my couzin lit him up. then he went how (we were in the desert) and went around shooting the little kids on the street. He missed all of them except one (keep in mind the little kids were not in the fight and they were unarmed. Like i said retard) of my friends who is like in 4th grade. He went inside and told his dad (his dad is a Peoria Police officer) and his dad called 911. So our friend who was shoot came and told us in the desert and i was PISSED!!! So my cousin and I go down to unload on this retard, the kid told his dad that he was airsofting and that he got shot (duh) so i see his dad coming and im saying Oh Great because his dad argues and the kid lies about it and the dad believes him. So engaging in an argument with this kids dad is something that I did not want to do. So we Left. Then my couzin calls and says that the police come and talked to the kid and this kid was like "I DONT WANT TO GO TO JAIL DADDY" but he just got his guns takin away and the police just had words with him. wish i saw it.
(**Note** the reason we wanted to battle this kid because he starts fights with us and it would be fun to unload on him. Hes a jerk this kid too)

He's a jerk and you are and your cousin are idiots so I guess that balances it out.

Seriously, just stop talking.  I had to read half your "sentences" (I use the term loosely) twice just to translate it into English.

Wow.......I am going to take a guess and say that English is not your favorite subject in school. You do know that when you see red dots below a word, it means you misspelled it right. Your little story just shows why 14 year olds shouldn't have guns without supervision.

No. You wanted to shoot him because you thought it'd be fun to peg someone you don't like. Airsoft is a game where people come together and have a good time. So you're not going to get any favorable attitudes from people in this board if you keep it up.

Yeah, even though Im also 14, I'd have to agree with AisoftBen. Dude if a little kid is bothering/picking for a fight, just ignore him. Shooting a kid like that who is obviously younger you is a real good way to have an older brother knocking on your door (older brother in this case being police).

I don't care if you enjoy beating on little kids, but next time dont tell everyone so kids like me get a bad name...
