AZSarge I woun't worry about the boneheads, they have proven they haven't a clue about airsoft in their posts, esp  <blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">you want to play airsoft fine its a game.

militarymorone.com sums up perfectly the airsoft world they don't take themselves terribly seriously either.

While yes Airsoft isn't the best simulation device out there it is safer than simnitions and a hell of a lot better than Miles gear (at least the 1st gen crap). And for Mout, CQB operations or home defense type training Airsoft is perfect. But if these wanna be military "guru's"  wanna bash airsoft let them, no skin off of my nose.

ya know,its the same as people who put down firearms,and say there bad and dangerous.They probably never have touched one in their life.So what would they know about it?...nothing!These people are probably bitter becuz' they don't have what it takes to get into the military,or police.So they go around and rip on anyone and anything that even remotely relates to it(tactics,guns,etc.)I could give a flyin' f**k,they can go live there miserable lives!!!

They most likley dont have what it takes to face the real world and instead hide behind their computers and get personal enjoyment by insulting others and what they enjoy to make themselfs feel more powerful. Truley pathetic!

Actually, you are right about them being lame, but wrong as far as guns go.  They are all purportedly pro-military, and therefore anyone who is against it, or poses as an operator (hence the hate of airsoft).  They all seem to be pro-gun and all.  I find it curious though, to find many liberal remarks as far as military deployment, and involvement go.  I just get disgusted, and therefore refrain from posting on those forums.  You will notice no remarks from me there!  I do find the site an invaluable resource for photos, though.  I highly recommend it for that, as well as have good things to say about the site admin, named HOOD.  He had a simple vision, and its unfortunate it was hastily ocupied with wannabes, both old and young.  These individuals simply seem to be very hypocritical as far as views go.  When in fact they are no better than the young guys they love to hate.  There are a few guys coming around to realizing that airsoft is here to stay, and is enjoyed (and EMPLOYED) by more than punk kids who are too young for real steel.  I applaud those on that forum who pointed out the use of airsoft in police, and military training.  I just thought I would bring this to your attention, as it is quite common out there!

Airsoft is still in its infancy.  Given time, these people will come to realize that true Airsoft is not the same thing as paintball, which is probably where they're deriving their misconseptions from.

After reading that entire thread I've come to this conclusion.  There isn't one current or former military person posting in it.  Sounds like a bunch of kiddies and wannabe's having a sqabble.  I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Airsoft an Insult?

I frequently visit this site (www.militaryphotos.net)for the unprecedented ammount and scope of military photos.  I find the forums to be quite insulting due to the fact they are RULED by two types.  Immature kids who claim to be something they are not, and even worse, Old scabby clowns who never made into the service and feel it necessary to put down all those of us who plan on it some day by attempting to insult us by pointing out the fact that we play airsoft.  I did not post in this given thread, nor will I.  I simply find it interesting and desire your feedback.  Preferably from the older, wiser members of AA, rather than the kidz saying "thats not cool, thats mean to make fun of me!".  What do you all think?
