there are about 4 areas we could use. the main gate,  the pooling area and ticket windows (2 storys with an opening in the middle) the work compound across the track, and the south side with the aquaduct and other cover

theres nothing wrong with the desert but we dont get many chances for urban games  that are actual buildings. ( i wish we could get one of those apt complexes that are all one story houses with a comune pool   thatd be cool)

That's kinda what I was thinking, that is a huge complex over there with a large main building with several satellite structures on the grounds.  Not every square inch in the main building is covered with bio hazardous, toxoplasmosis-inducing, drop dead in your tracks pigeon feces.  I'm sure we could find adequate areas to have some real serious fun.

Of course all this speculating is useless until we get the property manager's permission.  I have asked my buddy to get the contact info and will pass it off to more capable hands on this forum than mine as soon as I get it.  Then the next steps can be taken in evaluating the playable potential of this phenomenal playground.

I am more than willing to do what it takes to make this a reality, pending the hazardous hurdles are cleared.  I have no experience hosting games, I just stumbled upon this opportunity to get into contact with the property manager; after learning he is a cool guy, a light went off in my head.  I did a little research on the web and decided to run the idea by you guys on AA.  Hopefully something will come from this, I know every airsoft payer who has ever driven by has thought about how sweet it would be to battle in that massive, fortress-looking building.  I know I have.

The ball is rolling, and we'll see what comes of this endeavor.

You have obviously never heard of John Lu Or any of his operations. I have only been to the Lion Claws OP , IV to be specific. But I will let some of the other guys chime in about Op Irene, or ones of the like.

Some pics from one of the OP:irene's

my main point is that it is a abandoned complex with age to it not some recently cleared building.  at turf paradice we dont know what to expect when playing,  its all natural cover

The problem with the place is not so much the birdshit, but the reason why the building has been sitting for so long. The place is stuffed to the brim with insulation with asbestos in it :/

Those masks will not protect you from those hazards very well.

The military is just getting masks now that protect from TICs, in addition to CBRN threats.

We'll just need to stay out of the structures.

So is it a fact that there is asbestos? I'm sure you could call the OSHA office in pheonix, i think they are supposed to have infromation on areas that are asbestos exposed.
