Harley, Yea of course, mostly a monthly thing, and they'd be an archive of the magazines etc.

Airsoft is by no means any secret... just pick up the newspaper and you'll read all about how some kid with an airsoft or softair gun got into some kind of trouble with it.  The people than need to know about it will find out one way or another, word or mouth or by accident like some of us did.

We could compile a list of names of those who are irresponsable with them and set a level, like mild, medium, and serious in the ezine, and we could also send these names to airsoft shops so these items can't be sold to them. I think they did that in Ohio if I remeber correctly.

It seems recently, Airsoft has become more of a fad (for those of us that started late) and I see many people play twice, and never play again.. and try to sell their guns. And I believe an airsoft magazine will bring 3 types of people,

1. the "lets do the fad" people
2. the actual MilSim people
3. the .. getting into it, but in a punk way people

And what I've seen now is more military simulation fellas instead of the other two, but it's pushin in the "fad" direction. Hell, people at my work have heard about it. And when we bring it up, they wanna play. Theres this kid that asked if I had dual mac's that he could use. :-X. And if theres a decent magazine, and it's published in the right way, the punk people would probly see airsoft and say "eh.. I'd prefer the Matrix!". And those who like military simulation would read it and like it. And, theres hardly ever any block of the trendwhores.. so.. they'd come either way.

But just to avoid all the hassle of what I've just said.. lets stick to the boards! Other than giving me something to read while I'm on the Jon.. there would be no good outcome.

This ezine would be completely directed towards mil simmers and we could show our stance against idiots using airsoft guns incorrectly, plus be a valuable resource.

Uh, I think that's in violation of a privacy act or a bad business practice. Do that and you will rain a shit storm upon yourself. IMO just forget the idea, it's probably just gonna be you doing it. BUT I will throw in a few ideas if you really get it up and running. I'm actually a coder and web devloper of 3 years.

That wasn't a good way to start your little Ezine, but good luck. When it fails, is it ok if we laugh? ;)

THAT'S the bottom line right there, people.

Keep it small, keep it professional, and keep it real!

I didn't mean that aggressively, though I see it looks that way. However, I would like you guys to be apart of this if it happens. Especially you, sarge, and Harley. I know theres others that know alot and I'd like your help too if you're up to it.

That's the point - the guys who have been here awhile and know a thing or two want no part of this.  Ok, let me re-phrase that so I'm not putting words in poples mouth:

I've been around awhile, and I think it's a bad idea.

I'll let Harley's above comments speak for themselves, as well as the input from other AA members (PAID MEMBERS, not forum users.  There IS a difference!)

I understand that sarge, as I said, I would LIKE you to be part of it.

Ya know, the theory that when you try to do something nice for people, you always get the bad end of the deal.
I guess the same applies when you are making an attempt to better the airsoft community.
