What is your preferred brand of BBs
« on: May 07, 2010, 12:57:49 AM »
Gents

I'm just curious as to what is your preferred brand of BBs, both regular and Bio.  Also please mention which BBs you would stay away from too.

Thanks

I have used G&G, Goldenball, TSD, KSC, Javelin, Echo 1, PHX, Airsoft Elite, and AirSplat house brand.

The Javelins were awful. Stay Away.
I was very hit-or-miss (no pun intended) with Echo 1. Some bags were pretty good, others weren't so good.

PHX, G&G, Airsoft Elite, Goldenball and KSC were all very high quality and extremely consistent. I would recommend them highly.

Airsplat and TSD are okay bb's. No problems, just a little less consistent than the others.

Lots of other people with lots of other experiences. These are my opinions. Based on real life testing. Very little of this testing was done in a controlled environment, and most of this is only opinion and may be errant due to the many other factors. lol.

you can try using different weight too.  I started with .25 but switched to .20 and i get better range.  Accuracy is lost a bit but if you give a 3 shot burst you are bound to get your target.  I agree with the second post as well for the airsplats.  they have some pretty decent stuff.

it has been proven in history that for a group to survive its government must be over thrown from time to time. my fear is that this will come to our lands way to soon.

KSC Perfect .25g.

I have tried many others, but I have always had good, consistent performance with those.  They are also among the least expensive BB brands, when purchased from Hong Kong vendors.  $8.50 or so for 3000rd bag plus shipping, if my memory serves me right.

Preferred brand for me is the Airsoft Elite .20 BB's both regular and biodegradable. Regulars for indoor and training, bio for outdoor operations. I use black BB's and white BB's. Depending on the situation.

Brands I will not use are any brands sold in thrift stores, sporting good stores, or any store that does not specifically deal with airsoft.

well some stores do offer pretty good brands but not many.  I usually buy my airsplats from Big 5 and they have performed ok for me.
