Gas Blow Back Maintanence
« on: March 28, 2011, 08:40:00 PM »
I just purchased a KWA MP7 and was wondering what I should do for the initial maintanence and what I should do to keep the gun maintained as I fire rounds through it.  I've heard that a good lube with the provided silicone oil is a good start, but does that mean disassembling the gun and lubing the moving parts?  Or perhaps just the feeding nozzle and/or the gas mags?  Since this is my first GBB weapon, any help would be appreciated.

I break my slide open on my G18 after every game and lube the shit out of it, the mag, the blowback chamber...  My G18s are basically slimy all the time.

For My GBB guns, after every game i take them fully apart, and wipe them down with a paper towel, because silicon oil attracts dirt. I clean all of those out including the barrel and mags. then once everything is dry I put it back together and re- lube it, and move the action like 15 times, then fire a mag through it, and the clean off any extra oil.

Another helpful tip is to not even bother bringing the gun out when its windy and dusty. The gun will start misfiring, and jamming like crazy after a few hours.
