TM VSR 10 (issue)
« on: July 31, 2012, 08:44:24 PM »
Alright so I got a pretty interesting problem that i cannot seem to figure out.    I have my TM VSR- 10 upgraded with PDI trigger box, piston, and a few other pieces. Couple weeks ago i was playing at a game and all of a sudden something happened. I literary went from 1 shot to 250ft range to about 100ft range if that. I cronod it before the game and was sitting at 415 with .25 and after it happened was at about 250. I got home and looked over all the parts and everything seemed fine, i took out the piston and realized that it was coming loose so im not sure if thats the cause of the loss of range and fps if anyone has ANY help it is much appreciated.       Also sometimes when i pull the bolt back to load another round the entire mag shoots into the barrel/cylinder.   any help on that is also appreciated.  Thanks.

Sounds like an issue with the nozzle not returning forward after loading a round. Don't know much about springers, but if it were an AEG, that'd be where I start.

It shouldn't be the distance from the piston to the hop up chamber because the gun shouldn't be shot until the bolt handle has been pushed all the way forward and pulled down. I think it would more than likely be a seal issue starting with the piston oring all the way to the hop up and bucking. Try to check those first. Do some seal tests.

As far as the mag loading multiple bb's, I have no idea. Never had that happen to me nor have I heard of anybody else having the issue. Only thing I could think of would maybe a mag with way to much lube? Or maybe the lips on the bb catch of the magazine have worn away.

Hope this helps.

Also what do you mean by the piston coming loose? Do you mean the cylinder head from the cylinder?
