Title: Operation: Ramadi Tales at Marauders Airsoft Oct 29
Post by: Marauders Airsoft on October 04, 2006, 11:19:27 AM
Marauders Airsoft is holding a one day airsoft scenario game on Oct. 29 from 9 am - 5 pm.  If you missed Operation Sand Storm, Ramadi Tales is your chance to experience a milsim adventure at our field in Surprise AZ.

Participants can sign up to fight as part of the US Forces against a group of insurgents.  Any US pattern of uniform is accepted into the game (Desert, woodland, ACU etc.)

The game will feature at least two vehicles, IED's, and multiple props.

US Forces are limited to 50 players and Insurgents are limited to 20 players.

Admission to the game is $20 for "Veterans" of Op Sand Storm and $30 for new players.  Registration opens October 7th and may be paid at SoftAir Depot, any Marauders Event, or via Paypal (send pm for instructions).  Veterans of Sand Storm may pay $30 at the event and new players may pay $40 at the event.

More information to follow!

Visit SoftAir Depot to register for the US Forces.  Players who attended Op Sand Storm can register for only $20 or pay $30 the day of the event.

*Players may also register during the game on Saturday Oct 14 at Marauders Airsoft.*

New player registration is $30 prepaid or $40 the day of the game.

Player information and rules will be distributed on Oct. 23rd.

Missions will be very similar to those experienced by players at Op Sand Storm.

If you would like to volunteer for a leadership role on the US Forces, please send me a pm with a short background describing your airsoft experience.

Ramadi Tales Update

We have confirmed two military vehicles for Ramadi Tales.  Members from the AZ Military Vehicle Collector Club will have a Pinzgauer and Cut V at the game for US Forces to use.

There will be about $500 worth of prizes raffled off at the event.

Similar to Op Sand Storm, there will be a pizza lunch available for $5.

Make sure to register for the game early to save $10.

I have received a few questions from players who would like to register for Ramadi Tales as a SAW Gunner (Support Weapons).

There are only five SAW Gunner spaces available for the US Forces.  These spaces will be assigned to the first five players who register and request a SAW assignment.

Here are the basic guidelines from our player packet.

There are not any requirements for a weapon to be a SAW.
Any AEG may be used. However, please try to maitain some aspect of milsim (example - no MP5K as a SAW please)
The SAW gunners will be the only players allowed to use high capacity magazines.
SAWs must chrono at 375 fps and lower.
SAW gunners can carry as many high capacity (winding) magazines as desired.
High caps cannot be shared with regular troops.
Only SAW's gunners may fire from vehicles.
SAW gunners may not transfer their weapon to someone else if wounded.

There are still 40 spaces left for Ramadi Tales.

Ramadi Tales has 33 players registered through Marauders Airsoft.  I have not taken a count of players registered at SoftAir Depot.  I have also received quite a few players who are planning to walk-on.

I expect about 40 players on the low side with up to about 50 players on the high side of the event.

I will send out team rosters on Saturday at 6 pm (last day to register.)

If you go through more that 3000 bb's you are either a SAW gunner, and mad hi-cap user, or don't know how to move your selector switch to semi-auto... lol

seriously, its plenty.  I don't go through more than that at the big multiple day national ops...

Unless you have been told you are a "SAW" gunner there are no exceptions to the no hi-cap rule.  Beg, borrow or buy some mid/low caps.

And yes, spot checks will be done on the field and there is just no way to hide a hi-cap.

Its fun to yell random things, and i had a good tgime doing it at OP SandStorm. I also like being a insurgeon becuause i am wihyt people i know and i can trust so i can depend on them when i need backup.

Just a reminder that there is zero tolerance on the no hi cap rule.  People have been asking and trying to get around the rule.  No hi caps are allowed unless you have already been told you are a SAW gunner.

Its not open for discussion.

Marauders Airsoft would like to thank everyone who came out to Ramadi Tales.  We had 56 players join us on Sunday for our latest milsim airsoft adventure.

A special thanks is extended to the AZ Military Vehicle Collector club for providing transportation to the US Forces.  Marauders Airsoft also thanks the sponsors, SoftAir Depot and Arizona Paintball Depot who helped contribute to the event’s success.

Rich Schuenenan did a great job producing the maps and player information for the event.

Join us for our next big event, Raiders of the Dead Man's Chest on December 9.
