Did anybody lose a black pistol belt with holster and one mag?

I lost a black belt with a drop leg holster, and a glock mag in the pistol holster's top mag pocket.

(ps just curious why TAC website is down, guess the leaders got P'd off !!! oh-well)

I guess one could make a random completely-off assumption based on no information whatsoever, or they could try just asking whats up with the site and get the real answer.

Simple answer: the server stops working after about 5 hours, and I have no idea why at the moment. I'm in Denver, the server is in Dallas. I have no idea whats on the screen when it stops working (which would kind of be crucial to me solving the mystery and getting the machine 100% working, but...) so I have just now resorted to just auto-restarting the server every couple of hours. Stupid solution but it will keep the site mostly up until I can get to Dallas to strangle some colo people and figure out whats really wrong with the server.

So it will periodically be down for a couple of minutes every couple of hours, which would be a VAST improvement in the uptime since about Tuesday. If the colo admins actually follow my instructions to them letter for letter, I'll know 100% whats exactly wrong and I can be prepared to fix it when I get there (or if it's something simple I can just send whatever it is they need to get it up and properly running).

For future games, please give us at least a 4 week notice and we will gladly get something going for you guys. Thank you.

August 4th, I talked to Dan about this game, seeing as how I was scheduling it in for at least a month prior to that date. I remember because I told him Operation Midnight Madness (Team FE's game) was going to be on the 19th. That game also got thrown to the wind in the field schedule and a bunch of paintballers got in for a night game. August 4th makes it... somewhere around 11 weeks I called in advance.

HOWEVER, seeing how things turned out for Reaver/Team FE for their game, I should have stayed on top of the reservation for this game, and admittedly that was not the case here. So for that I will apologize.

I'm sincerely sorry to all the guys in Phoenix who were planning on coming down for this game. There were a few people looking forward to this game (including me), and I fear I've let everyone down pretty completely with this last twist of events. All the more reason I shouldn't be running games right now. I tried to keep this one going for a last hurrah but sadly that's not going to be the case here.

So with that said, I wish the games this weekend a lot of luck. Happy shooting, everyone! Sorry for the let-down but one bad turn out of the last 15 is not a bad track record as far as I'm concerned. I'll make it up to everyone.

Did you know that the runner of the last S.I. game has yet to pay the owner?  Hows that for info? theres about 200+ of our dollars still floating around. Not bashing on Warlock, just needs to send our money where it needs to go.

That is actually 100% true. I'll be taking care of it this week. I've just been busy with a few things, personally and professionally. Why don't you try keeping everything in your life 100% squared away while recovering from getting brain surgery, which caused you to lose your primary means of employment, which caused a whole bunch of other dominoes to go rolling down the line. I realize you're not trying to bag on me here, I'm just clarifying. The money for SI is still where it's been this entire time, in an envelope waiting delivery. Delivery is kind of hard at the moment when I'm working a full-time job and a part-time job trying to get everything ELSE squared away.

Following the standard rules I always follow:

450fps max with .2g BBs for regular weapons

Sniper rifles can go up to 500fps but MUST be mechanically incapable of firing full-auto

14-16 years old need a full facemask
17 year olds need a partial facemask
18+ need eye protection that is ANSI rated for ballistics

You will need to fill out the Sudden Impact waiver if you have never done so: http://paintballhq.com/PBHQ_2004_Waiver1.pdf

What more did you need to know about the op? The general outline is above, the prep sheets will be online sometime next week which include mission(s) details and objectives.

There is one team that is getting their briefing via private communications, they know who they are (and no one else does....they don't even know their teammates).

For some weird reason I was led to believe (by an AF person stationed at DM) that airsoft weapons are not allowed on-base....

Now Im decided, I will be green. And on organization again, I must say that dog skull op was run exceptionally well by the AMSOG group. Hopefully TAC can do as good of a job if not better. Thanks, now Ill shut up

Considering this is not technically a TAC operation (I am not a member), I'm not sure if this game should count as how TAC runs things. We'll probably get a better glimpse of TACs op-running prowess if/when Pryde decides to have the sequel to last year's Thanksgiving game.

I always try to keep the downtime to an absolute minimum but I also try not to run the players into the ground. I like having everyone just slightly more rested after each scenario, it makes for more fierce battling. Not only that, it gives people time to adjust equipment if necessary, and the extra hydration time means people are more hydrated, resulting in less heat casualties.

Considering this is primarily a one-scenario deal that just goes on forever (bring your packs, you'll be reloading in the field!), I don't think downtime will present too much of an issue. The downtimes will be at the end, where we do the competition stuff. In the main scenario you will just update objectives and tactics on the fly.

I believe I've said it before but it does bear repeating: for the one or two voices who are usually complaining about downtime, there's typically 20 more who are grateful that they can actually catch a breath and grab a drink between scenarios. I run things the way I like them, and if anyone has any serious grievances with it, they are more than welcome to run their own games.

Enough on that subject.

Hi-caps are of course allowed, as are grenades. I've mentioned previously that landmines and boobytraps are allowed, as long as they are non-incendiary and use a powder instead of airsoft rounds. It will be mostly dark halfway through so everyone is encouraged to bring flashlights, tracer units, night vision, etc.

Other obvious things:

This is a LONG game, and you will probably get thirsty. Bring a canteen, bottle of water, whatever. I also highly suggest bringing some field-ready food like MREs or Powerbars. You could just go to the parking area to get your drink and grub on, but that's going to be a ways away from where most of the action is taking place.

I'll make sure they bring out some extras so I can double-up with the folks who didn't get one last time.

is there a price to play. is it going to be just us out there :?:

Same as the last game we had there, $15/person.

Considering the time-frame (1pm-1am), we will have the field all to our lonesomes. I'll get PBHQ to update the field schedule soon, to reflect that.

And to answer some questions I saw up-thread a bit....

Age limit: 14

Waivers? Yes. Find them at http://paintballhq.com/PBHQ_2004_Waiver1.pdf

Map: http://www.paintballheadquarters.net/pa ... es/Map.pdf

Booby traps: These are allowed as long as the velocity is under 300 fps, and uses either an inert powder (like baby powder/talc) or airsoft rounds. 15' kill radius, line-of-sight. MUST BE NON-INCENDIARY (this rules out smoke grenades as well)

LAW-type weapons: Allowed, must shoot soft projectiles, and by soft I mean Nerf. 15' kill radius, line-of-sight. MUST BE NON-INCENDIARY.

Grenades: Allowed, 10' kill radius, line-of-sight. If you catch the grenade before it hits the ground, you can lob it back. (see above about smoke grenades and why they are not allowed)

I will also be going over these rules at the game to make sure we're all on the same page before we start.

Anything else?: Keep in mind, this is different from my previous games. Go means go, there is only one scenario, and there are no time limits. One scenario, multiple objectives. After the scenario is complete, we move on to the competition phase (winner-takes-all tournamet, etc), after which the game is over and done.

Game's still on like Donkey Kong, I'm just ironing out some personal business and doing a crap-ton of work. So my online personal time is suffering as a result.

My apologies to people if it looks like I am slipping, however I assure you this game is going to happen. I've not yet once called an event and then failed to make it happen. :)
