ZOMBIELAND UPDATE

The first round of event information (vouchers, rules and schedule) will be emailed out to those registered through Gearbox Airsoft, Command Post, and those who have free passes for vouchers.  Please remember that if you don't have a game ticket or voucher on the day of the event, you will be turned away from the game.  EXCEPTIONS FOR THIS RULE WILL NOT BE MADE.

Zombieland Game and Schedule Change
Our staff has received quite a few request from players who want to play on the SPEC OP team during Zombieland.  MTT has added a new team that can be played during the morning session of Zombieland.

From 8 am - 1 pm, players will be able to participate in a series of Special Operations missions that take place before the storyline of Left for Dead.  These players will not be allowed to play as SPEC OP during the night missions.  Only those players who served as SPEC OP during the first two Left For Dead adventures will have the option to play as SPEC OP in the afternoon missions and in the dark.

Zombieland SPEC OP Adventure Requirements
Zombieland Game Ticket or Voucher
Sealed Eye and Mouth Protection
SPEC OP Team - Uniform (DCU, ACU, Multicam, Marpat) - 16 spaces
Civilian Survivors - Civilian Clothing or Paramilitary Impression -24 spaces
Airsoft Weapon under 375 FPS with .25 bb's (AEGs allowed during day missions on all teams)

Since I was a zombie volunteer at L4D, but play in gear that would put me on the Spec Ops team for the night missions, would I only be able to be a zombie on the night missions, or would I just be put in with the civilian team?

The game rules and schedules have been emailed out to registered participants.  If you did not receive a copy of the rules it is because:

1) You did not register at Gearbox or Command Post
2) As an Annual Pass Owner you did not send an email to www.Marauders.us
3) All players will need a sealed eye and mouth protection. Players will also need some type of chest protector when playing as zombies.

ok this my be a dumb question for you guys that have done these before, but since i have not please bear with me. what qualifys as a Foam or Soft Plastic Melee Weapons?
i only ask this because i do Renaissance renactment fighting. and in doing said events i make/use a line of padded wepons. my favorate being my war hammer, it consists of a foam yoga block and soft foam kick board outer layer wraped in 3 color camo, the shaft is grey pvc (we dont use white because it shatters if hit wrong and leaves sharp eges, where grey just bends and folds over) i also put a fun noodle on the shaft just below the head about a foot long so that i dont accidently smack someone with the pvc pipe. i under stand that my hammer would probly need to pass some sort of inspection to make sure it is safe and wont cause damage. i do have confidence that it would pass, i have been useing variations of this weapon for longer than ive been playing airsoft, and ive been playing for almost 10yrs. fyi, i use these hammers in unarmered combat, no helm or cup, and ive yet to cause anything more than soreness, and then it was only when i was going full bore and it was one of my buddys that we dont pull shots on each other. im going to assume that kendo sticks arent considered soft melee wepons since they are made out of bamboo and hurt like hell wen you get hit with them. id also like to ask about full auto gas pistols, i got a 18c and a mac11. and wat about sniper rifles, i got a kjw m700. sorry for my ignorance in these matters, but this will be my first event with these kind of rules.
thank you for your time.

opps, one last question (at least i hope so)
what are the limitations of engagement with the zombies? how much are we allowed to fight back to avoid getting "bitten"? abviously we dont want to hurt anyone, but just cause i get ganged up on i dont want to just take it in the keester and get my flags yanked.

Thanks for the question about melee weapons.  All weapons must pass approval by staff inspection.  We don't authorize:

Sharp edges
Plastic points on weapon
solid plastic swords

The weapons may be used to strike the hands, arms, chest or back of a zombie.  One strike to the hands or arms will make the hand unusable, a strike to a zombie chest or back will stun it for 10 seconds (5 seconds for class 3 zombies).

Any type of semi auto pistol (or set to semi auto) can be used as long as it passes chrono (under 375 fps with .25).  Remember that all players are required to wear chest protection and a face mask with mouth protection.

Hey MTT,

Drew W. here.  Great to see such a big turnout for this event!  Thanks for signing up everyone.

I'll toss my name in the hat.  E-mail has been sent.  Please count me in as a Zombie Volunteer for Zombieland.  I'll be staying the night, and attending Terminator Prophesies the morning after.

Can't wait for this one, looks like a good one (especially with this many players).  Just everyone be sure to bring PLENTY of water!  The days are getting hotter, and we don't want anyone turning into a heat casualty.

Civilian and Spec Ops survivors, please remember:  The softer your weapons, the better.  We don't want to get stabbed through the chest.  Hehe, I trust you guys'll be consumate professionals.

Hehe, welcome back brother.  Glad you're on the same team once more.  You'll have to tell me your real name, can't wait to see you there again.

Really?  That sounds extremely cool mate.  Is it anything like LARP, or is it hardcore Reenactment using actual Western Martial Arts of the renaissance?  You'll have to tell me more about this on the day of the game.

Anywho, see you guys there.

Registration for both Zombieland and Terminator: Prophecies is now closed.

There are over 40 players on the roster for Zombieland and about 25 for Terminator: Prophecies.

Please make sure that you:

1)Read the game rules prior to coming out to the event
2)Bring your game ticket or voucher to the event
3)Bring a completed waiver (all players regardless of age must have a waiver)
4)Bring Sealed Eye and Mouth Protection for Zombieland to the check in table when you arrive
5)Bring the right uniform and weapons for the game

Our staff will be available to answer questions by email to MTTStaff@gmail.com until 8 pm tonight (Friday, April 29).

Although the weather will only be in the 80's, please bring plenty of water and appropriate camping equipment if you are planning to stay for Terminator: Prophecies the next day.
