Friends,
Ron was taken to the hospital on Friday afternoon and had emergency surgery on Saturday morning to remove an aggressive tumor on his brain. The surgery apparently went well, but the results will not be known for a few days at least. He has friends and family to take care of him.
I will update this as I hear more.

I was Wondering why they were not open Friday, best of luck to a speedy recovery!

The last update I saw from his wife
Ron is out of surgery, it went well and they got most of the mass other than some that was in the blood vessels running through it. They are running tests on it and I won't likely know the results til Wednesday. He's responsive and showing positive signs
.
I was shocked when I heard about this yesterday. I really hope things turn out ok.

Just got back from seeing Ron, he was awake and responsive. Didnt talk much due to his throat being so dry but seemed to be in a good mood.

Ron needs all the prayers and good thoughts we can send his way, it appears he will be moved from the hospital he is in now to a rehab facility as soon as the Doctors feel it is time, he will be starting chemo in early July...
The tumor was 3 1/2 inches in diameter and agresssive... He is not happy being hospitalized and I supect many on this forum can certainly identify with that situation, I know I can, and I hate my trips to the hospital...
We took Marney to dinner tonight and she is toughing it out, she needs lots of love now, there are lots of things to be done and Marney will need much love and support to help her cope with this...
Ron as most of you know is a young man and this will take a major amount of rehab, however youth is on his side...

A message from his wife - "Ron is still healing and we're getting closer to being able to downgrade him to a regular room. The shorter visits are still a necessity and I need to remind everyone that they need to get in touch with me before showing up. I will turn you away if I don't think it's a good time. I'm also going to need to ask that there are no more after 8 pm visits. He's just way too drained at that point and he doesn't respond well. Thank you everyone for the love & support you've shown our family, it means the world to us."
