Battery problems?
« on: April 08, 2012, 10:13:38 AM »
Hey, I recently bought a new gun, and used it at the new hatfield and it worked great, but the battery I got with it doesn't last that long. I charged it with a smart charger yesterday and this morning I was going to airsoft with my cousin because he is in town for Easter. I took it out to test fire it and it just went click when i pulled the trigger. Is it a battery problem? I'm new to aeg so I have no idea... Thanks!

Is it the battery that was included with the gun? If so, those batteries are s*** and you just need a new battery. And if you want to make sure it's not the gun, hook it up to a friends battery.

I got the gun from a guy on aa. I traded for my vsr and some cash. It is a 9.6 but it ran out on the first 2 games at hatfield.

^This. Check the battery in another gun that works. Then check your gun with a different battery. You would also do well to check your gearbox's shimming job, since it's new (not battery related). If this battery is the one that in fact did come with the gun, you should dump that bitch and get a battery from a reliable maker.

Questions for you, as well as for you to think about if you get another battery:
Manufacturer?
Capacity?
Chemistry ( NiCad vs NiMH etc)?
Discharge rate?
Connector type?
What kind of charger are you using on it?

The battery is one of the most important and under-valued upgrades that go into an AEG.

That sounds like your contact switch for the trigger is shot.  Spend the 30-45 bucks and put in a Mosfet.
