Accessories & Gear / Re: Anyone on here still make gear?

Not a problem Ganef, thanks anyway.

I have no reason to believe your remark was meant to be personal, but if anyone is worried about being ripped off, I have nothing but positive feedback on airsoftaz's old sister-site arizonashooting, as well as on here back-in-the-day, and must point out that you'd have my valuable ceramic armor plates the whole time anyway ;) Plus I don't have a problem paying up front.

Hawk I will take some photos and measurements of the stuff and send you an email.

Accessories & Gear / Anyone on here still make gear?

I remember long ago there were some people on here that made their own gear, some nice stuff as I remember.

I have a ceramic / kevlar vest thing that I would like to cut the guts out of and have made into a plate carrier type deal. Would be happy to pay for good work!

Hi Matt!

Hey hey hey, how's it going?

I should be back in the states in about 3 weeks. Unless I get disgruntled and take hostages.

Heller was announced at 10 PM China time, just in time for fun.

ETA

I was in Hong Kong when I read about the guy on the bus being shot, and the article in the South China Morning Post said that he was taken out by a "sharpshooter."

If there is one thing I've learned after living ten months here in the People's Republic, it is that if you insist upon taking hostages, you should surrender quickly, before one of the highly trained black-shirt black-pants People's Armed Police crack troopers sneaks up and shoots you in the head with a pistol at extremely close range.

I saw a squad of these guys once, and they were trying to get taxis at the same corner I was trying to get a taxi, so I moved on and ended up getting rained on a bit more than I had planned.

While drunk one night, my buddy and I speculated on how they train. We thought perhaps they set a target up a foot or two away, and have to become proficient hitting it every time, one-handed.

We speculated as well that somewhere in China, gentlemen like these train by shooting targets off of telephone poles or watch-towers.

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / CA Mid-length AR, two barrels, mags RIS *sold*
« on: August 19, 2007, 11:20:44 AM »
For sale is a Classic Army M4, with a midlength RAS. Its a got a tan paintjob. Internally it has an M120 spring, custom-length tightbore barrel and torque up gears.

Externally, it has a King Arms Midlength RAS, and comes with a King Arms 14.5 inch barrel, and a King Arms "SPR" Barrel(or something like that, looks like a varminter barrel). It has a G&P Full stock. Here are pictures of the rifle with both barrels in:

Rifle does not come with any sights, just the bare rail on top, but does come with a 3000mah battery, a bunch of low cap mags. some Knights Armament rail covers and a Knights Armament vertical grip.

The spring that makes the charging handle snap back is gone, but this should be easy to replace and does not affect the function of the gun.

This belonged to Ian (Firehead) and it hasn't been modified in any way since I got it from him, save for the barrel being swapped out.

Asking 300 obo for the whole package, not looking for trades.

Knight Gallery, Paradise Valley Mall, Tatum and Cactus, come in through Sears and were the first store on the left.

Hey, Matt, can you smoke in your store as well? I'd like to drop by and just have a cigar and see what's up one of these days. Whenever I do get my car washed, I get it washed at BJ's (just so I can say I am getting a BJ if someone calls while I happen to be there), and that's like, seconds from your work.

Absolutely, the new Nazi smoking law doesn't apply to licensed tobacco stores. Also, our lease with the mall allows smoking in the shop.

Only job I've ever had where they pay me to sit around and smoke cigars.

I'm in there fridays and saturdays about 530-6pm -9pm. Since the holidays, I don't always get hours, but it is a great way to kill an evening before heading out to other things.

Doc: we charge msrp on all our stuff, so no 20$/stick on opus, we usually sell out within a week of getting them in. If you come in and subscribe to our email list, we will send you an email whenever we get them in.

Ordinarily we do a 2-stick limit per size per visit on OpusXs, but that can be flexible if you know somebody there or are a regular customer.  If you're polite, at the end of the day it's money in the register...

Shameless plug for the shop, but we got Opus in this week

About 25 Belicosos left at 10.70/stick, limit two per visit. Come in while I'm there (after 6 or so) and that limit won't apply.

13 or so of a slightly bigger size, the name escapes me, at 13.80/stick in too.

Knight Gallery, Paradise Valley Mall, Tatum and Cactus, come in through Sears and were the first store on the left.

We also have half a box of Ashton ESGs in at 19.00/stick in, they are worth it.

Buddy and I went to Casa Fuente in las vegas last weekend to get some Casa Fuentes, will be returning next weekend if anyone wants to 'place some orders.' They have Anejos in stock at 20+/stick and the casa fuentes run 19 and up. ForbiddenXs and some other crazy shit starts at I think 120/stick.

It is necessary to keep a humidor at least half full for it to keep the right humidity. Too much empty space throws it off.

If you already spent money on a 50-stick box, it is usually worth it to buy some cheapo cigars as filler to get the box working right until you can establish a nice rotating collection.

At our shop, Knight Gallery, in the PV Mall at tatum/cactus in north Phoenix, we have a few really cheap sticks (1-2$) that are  suitable for that purpose. Avoid anything flavored, and separate the filler stick from your good ones with a bit of cedar, which any reputable cigar store will give you if you ask.

If you like Hemingways and rockys, you'll probably really like fuente Don Carlos, Padron anniversarios, and Ashton VSGs.

Next time you're in Phoenix, come by, we have most sizes of VSGs, Don Carlos, Hemingway, Padron ani. 1964 and 1926, rockys and aurora preferidos and 100anos in stock. Also, we don't charge double like cohiba 'cigar boutique.'

As much as I like OpusXs, I like Fuente Anejos a little bit better. Opus filler with a special maduro wrapper... very hard to find but well worth it if you do.  1926 aniverarios and Upmann Magnum 46s are my favorite sticks.

Doc- If there is no occasion, just keep saving them. I had the pleasure recently of smoking an Opus that I'd had laying down for the better part of two years. That already very tasty cigar only improves with age.

Here's a convenient way to stay on top of .223 ammo prices and availability.

http://ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=222888

Can't find it atm, but there is another thread with some nice graphs showing the price of .223 over time.

I recommend Gordon at Big Bore, he's done an enormous amount of great work on a buddy of mine's Springfield, he is top shelf.

Gunners are very nice too, but I was in the market for some ultra thins, which I dont think they make.  10 seconds of my buddy's alumagrip-ed 1911 in my hands had me sold.
