AEG is on its way to poppa.
« on: September 21, 2005, 07:59:38 PM »
Just finished my order/waiver with AEX and its gonna hopefully be here by middle of next week. I'm in now hurry. But I am definately excited.

Oh and in case you were wondering, its a CA G36c, but I'm sure most of you folks would have figured out through my previous posts.  I've done just about all the research I could before ordering this gun, and I feel that I've made the best choice from what I expect in a gun, and what's on the market.  I'll get some pics up when its gets here.

btw its name is "Sheila" as in "OH SHEILA"

your other guns are terrible. no wonder you're so excited. i actually have a grudge against the g36c cuz thats what aex sent me instead of the normal g36 that i ordered, and i had to wait a lot longer than was necessary. im just rambling. have fun with your gun.

I don't get why you say my other guns are "terrible."  I like them fine for what they are. They're just guns to play with the kids in the house.  Just because its not a full blown M4 AEG with 5 scopes, 3 lasers, 4 flashlights and 2 m203's does not mean that its a terrible gun.  To this day I have never regretted an airsoft purchase.  I happen to be a fan of Walther P99's and I love every single one I own.  My mp5 is mainly something the gf uses to punish me from time to time.  Its just a fun lil LPEG.

I guess to each his own then...

Well I hope your G36 serves you well and that you never have any trouble with an airsoft purchase.

The maruzen Walther p99 is an awesome gun and not only quiet but extremely accurate. The real p99 has been known as one of the worlds most ergonomic and comfortable to shoot handguns. The germans know how to make them. Good luck with your G36, they are solid as a rock. Don't let anyone discourage you from getting a gun unless it is total crap. Me, myself, prefer an m4 platform for the vesitility but keep it single with just 1 optic..I cant keep track of THREE crosshairs!?

Well you got 2 eyeballs don't you. So that's 1 set of crosshairs for each, and learning how to site up the third is naturally just the next step.  It just takes a little more practice.

WOW, I can't say that I've heard that phrase before. I guess it means that he's pushing his limits? Cheers to sarge for being creative.  although his post really didn't contribute to the thread.

I have both an airsoft P99 and a real Walther P99 - one in .40 and the other in 9mm.  Out of all my handguns, the Walthers are definitely the most comfortable and ergonomic - no question about it.  They are average as far as recoil goes, but I can't hit the broad side of a barn with them - but that's just me.  One of them has the QA SA/DA trigger and the other is a DAO.  The trigger pull on both is unusually long and really takes getting used to.  That's probably my biggest complaint - my only complaint - on the P99's.  I'd be willing to bet that if that trigger were cleaned up, I'd actually be able to shoot them well.  I did notice that Walther had recently released a new version of the P99 that sports a universal rail (rather than their proprietary one) and also gets rid of the long trigger pull.  I may have to try out one of the new ones.

About the CA G36C - out of curiosity, why didn't you get the G36K or the G36 instead of the G36C?

There in lies the question. I like the iron sights of the C and I am planning on getting a k conversion kit, that way I can switch between a K or a C whenever I wish. as opposed to getting a K and being stuck with a K.  I dunno its just the way I do things.  I'm sure it'll be more costly in the long run, but I'm willing to pay for what I really want, as opposed to paying for something I only sorta want.  But the major factor is the compactness of the C.

I dunno, call me wierd, call me crazy, but whatever you do, don't call me derek.
