Operation : Night Scorpion 03-05MAR06
« on: January 07, 2006, 12:33:15 AM »
OK, I binned the old thread.

Try not to post in this thread. PM me if you want to be placed on the roster. PM me any questions AFTER you Google them.

The OP is scheduled for March 3rd-5th, 2006.

It's in Dallas, Texas at the Middle Eastern Movie Ranch.

It'll cost about $120.

In terms of rules, these will be distributed to those who pay in the form of the player kit.

Field velocities are about in line with AA's.

So far:

Dave H.
John F.
Ben K.
Rod G.
Chris H.
Bryan P.
Ed V.
Erin V.
Hector R.
Glen S.
Shawn B.
Vincent C.
Nate H.
Ivan H.
and me.

Also, the people who are going, and just don't know quite sure yet :

Matt L.
Jamie W.
Ryan P.
David B.
Ron B.
Sean O.
Christian C.

Any posts that make their way in here that suck will be deleted on sight.

Let's keep this channel open until we know more about this OP. Until we do, there's nothing to talk about.

Dave H. (Gixser13) is planning on renting a minivan.

Ivan H. (Whacker55) is planning on renting an SUV of some sort.

We're not sure about hotels yet. Motel Six does not get cheaper, or more expensive, or more or less full. Motel Sixes are always the same price and invariably always have the same amount of rooms available. Especially in the middle of one of the shittiest months of the year.

We been through this before and this time flyboys can carry there own AEGs We never got 1 cent for carrying guns last time,

You will still need to rent transportation when you get there, Checking in your AEGs in at Airport,

what 18 hours we already did 27 one way

Well I didnt pay the fly boys any money for the water and gatoraide runs that they did when we all ran out of water several times that weekend. I think that is something, surely more than one cent  :)
Though I dont know what kind of deal you guys made with the fly boys.

Dave, let's do shifts again driving up there!  And for the record I had fun driving over to Zussman, just won't do anymore marathon driving shifts as I ran out of gas by Sunday and opted to sleep in the hotel than possibly fall asleep on the way home behind the wheel.

I agree about the AEG's though, that's too much weight and made for a cramped ride all the way there!

160 slots, one day event, GOLF Co?  I'm becoming less and less upset that I can't make this one.

Sounds like a small-time OP for TX locals.

It is, now let's get back on topic.

Is anyone still wanting to go to this, now having heard what it's all about?

I'm supposed to register our team tomorrow, but I'm having second thoughts myself. For some reason, one day of airsoft for like, probably close to $500 after it's all said and done doesn't seem so cool.

Who is FOR SURE going? Post in the thread...don't PM me, I got way too many as it is.
