Real Firearms / Shoulder Cannon?

Speaking of large caliber rifles.....

Barret's new 25mm sniper system.
-------------------------------------

"For some long-range sniper missions, a .50 caliber (12.7mm) round just isn’t big enough."

"computerized sight called the BORS (Barrett Optical Ranging Sighting System). BORS is specifically designed for long-range shooting at 1,000 meters and longer distances, measuring and compensating for air pressure, temperature, and the angle of the weapon in relation to the target. Precisely compensating for all these factors and successfully hitting the target on the first shot is possible"

"Effective distance armor piercing “lethalityâ€￾ for the rifle is listed at 2000 meters."

Accessories & Gear / Under Armour
« on: July 05, 2004, 05:37:35 PM »
Several of us brought up this brand of clothing when talking about propper clothes to wear under our BDU's and such in the crazy AZ heat.  I bought an UnderArmour HeatGear compression Tshirt a few weeks ago, and wear it to the gym and to matches on the weekends, i love it.  I went today to a store listed on their site to find some socks and a skull cap, but it turns out they stopped carrying the stuff since they opend the Under Armour store at Desert Ridge.  WOO HOO.  I was out there today and they carry EVERYTHING they make.  They have the Tactical Line of shirts too (in desert tan, OD, Black, and Blue colors).  Just lettin ya guys knwo for what its worth.  Propper under garments are essential for long matches im told (hvent gone to any long ones yet myself).  Id suggest looing into UA stuff if you're in the market.

Good stuff!

Accessories & Gear / CQB Brand?
« on: June 10, 2004, 02:43:57 PM »
I found this vest over at Botac and one other site, but both places just list it as CQB... no other name for a brand.  Have you guys heard of it?  The other site i found it at had it listed as CQB Inudustires or something like that.  Im curious if its a moderate quality brand, or some no name POS.

Any help would be great guys.

Airsoft Equipment Specials / Safariland 6004
« on: June 09, 2004, 03:13:09 PM »
Not sure if this was found by anyone else, or if its as good of a deal as i seem to think it is, but Botactactical.com has the Safariland 6004 Baretta/Colt drop-leg holster on sale for $59.  They have both Desert and Woodland, right and left handed in stock.  If i wasnt about to already spend over $200 on gear this weekend, I'd grab one even though i dont have a sidearm yet.

General Off-Topic Discussion / A Memorial Day Salute!
« on: May 31, 2004, 01:48:19 PM »
I didnt see any other threads for it, so I figured I'd post one.

Just want to give a big thank you to all of you who have served, or are serving in the armed forces.  Without your sacrifice and courage this country wouldn't be where it is today!

Much love, respect, and apreciation from me and mine, to you and yours!

Happy Memorial Day!

AEG's / AEG problem...
« on: May 20, 2004, 09:54:57 PM »
Ok.. im having a real ****ty day and ive got nowhere else to turn.  I got my AEG from Ron last night... i had no BB's and had to charge my battery over night. I got some bb's today and came home to a very warm carged battery.  I fill my mag, i pop the bat. in, and pull the trigger....  CLUNK... i try again... CLUNK.  I switch to full auto... CLUNK.  Ok.. check the battery... red to red.. .black to black.. everything is fine.  I pull the mag out and check for a jam... nope.  Ok.. lets try again.  CLUNK.  CLUNK...CLUNK...NOTHING. umm ok.. now it wont even make the clunk sound.  Check the battery again... fine.. check the fuse... BLOWN.  I pull the battery out and its blazin hot.  I let it rest and head out to find a new 20A 250V fuse....but much to my dismay nobody has them.  I checked 2 auto parts stores, super walmart, and radio shack.  I also called hobby bench.  So i decide to grab a 20A 32V fuse set instead.  Well the new fuse hasnt blown yet, but it still just makes a clunk noise each time i pull the trigger.  There is no sound of the motor spinning or wirring like the working ones ive heard.  I dont know for sure, but it almost sounds like a piston is goin back and letting go each time.. i feel it in the grip and behind where the gearbox is.  I dont know enough about this stuff to deduce what the problem is.  Does anyone have ANY clue what this could be?  Im heading up to Sedona for the weekend and wanted to take it with me, but its not looking like thats going to happen.  If you can help, then please do, otherwise keep the negative remarks to a mimum... i know that lots of noobs have dumb ass issues when the first get their AEG's but ive honestly checked everything i could think of before i posted this.  Thanks in advance for any help!   man im having a **** day...lol

General Airsoft Discussion / A Noobs Hello!
« on: November 14, 2003, 09:18:19 PM »
Hey guys!  New to the board, group, and Airsoft.  Ive loved paintball for a long time, but honestly never knew about Airsoft til a coworker mentioned getting a gas pistol.  He told me about the basics, and i did a bit of reasearch.  Honestly i thought it was cool, but after seeing your site and the varrying matches i got REAL stoked about it all.  I am very NON combat trained as it seems some of you may be very much trained, but thats cool by me.  My buddy from work has some other friends who are ex-military and we are thiking of all getting into this very soon.  i really dig the site, and you guys all seem to be damn friendly and fair.

Im currently researching my first gun, and gear, which i am planning on purchasing around christmas.  Im getting hitched a week from this sunday, so my money is drained at the moment, but wont be next month.

I visit several gun boards.. namely ar15.com and fullauto.com on a regular basis.  Some of the guys there have mentioned airsoft rifles in the past, but i never looked into it.  I dig shooting and all things firearms.  I just absolutely love the realisim of airsoft.

Cant wait to get out into the feild and meet some of you guys!

Thanks for the time!

Trigger.. im fairly sure that there are more men that vote.. i could also be wrong.  I know that they were saying that the majority of voters during the daytime are women, but men come out in droves after work hours to vote.  i would like to see some numbers on that tthough... on the ratio of men to women voters.

Casper, on the flip side of that, know that there are MANY MANY men who would vote against her just for being a woman.
