Just cinch it up as tight as they will get and tape the excess with some 100 MPH tape.  That's as high speed as it gets!  In addition, if you ever want to sell it, you won't have to worry about those mods you did to it.

Exactly why i haven't done much to my 'satch. If I ever want to sell it( I like it, but you never know...) The buyer has no worries.'

I guess Im just a big gear slut.  I've had everything from BHI to Eagle, ALICE to PALS gear.  There isn't one piece of gear that hasn't been around the block in my ride!

You got a good collection started, Andy!  Nice boots, nice rig, nice gloves, nice goggles.  Keep all that stuff, and add to it.  You should be able to use all of that gear for a long, long time, since it's quality kit!

I'd suggest getting some woodland BDUs and maybe some nice kneepads.

The woodlands and Alta kneepads are already on my list(pre lc4 list that is). Hey for anyone who knows Alta kneepads, is the Altalok buckle system the best of the three?, besides velcro and pull thru?

EDIT: Those are my "Little vietnamese kiddie made gloves". I can't wear the ESS NVG's in most applications because they seem to fog alot with me(my eyes sweat alot)but they are perfect for CQB or when a complete seal is needed. The Romer II's are actually allowed at LC this year because they do not have any openings for BB's to get in.  8)

Now if only the little american sweatshop workers would get my BL stuff done I would be much happier. Expecting the rest of my kit in "4-6 weeks".

I prefer the Altalok buckles over the velcro.  Quicker don and doff, and easy to adjust on-the-move.

Try removing the foam from around the vents on those ESS specs.  It helped with me, and alot of guys have done the same with good results.  Expect to lose any dust filtration, you know for all those hooah Air Assault raids you do! ;)  About the Wileys, John Lu never took into consideration the "open-frame" (read, breakable) design of the Romer IIs.  I'd plan on some other form of protection for 2 reasons:
1.  You are a minor, and he might require full-seal goggles for you youngins.
2.  If this has happened twice to CAG D, I'm sure it has happened to others, and if John get's wind he might not allow them for play at LC.  LT Jordan used them last year, as I recall, so the decision might piss some people off, but it would be for the best.  Then again, it's YOUR eyesight...

1. I already did that with my NVG's and they still fog.
2. LT jordan plans on using them again this year
3. John lu already gave me permission to use ballistic eyewear as long as it surrounds the eye.

4. BUT, Neither of them are aware of these defeciencies as far as I know.  They might think twice if/when they find out.  (Hopefully it isn't when their vision is at stake!)

PS, "surrounds the eye" is very vague.  In the past, a complete seal must be made to permit it's use by minors.  A goggle, pretty much.  Some events went as far as to require a full-face mask for minors.

Wear them or not, it's your choice.

Well, the thing is, if you get a breakage in the field, and you have to switch out, that means you have to take them off. If one of those refs sees it, you might be in a bit of trouble. I just wouldn't risk it...not worth the trouble.

Not to mention the possibility of losing an eye to a BB during the switch between goggles.

Funny how mine didn't seem to show any breakage after 3 shots to them...2 in the lens and one in the side of the frame...

I have also heard TAG makes some good crap.  They are the new manufacture of the Lightfighter RAID pack, which is known to be excellent. Rick

Thanks, raith, I didn't know they were even updating that site anymore. This holster is freakin cool.

I wish they made them for 1911's. [smilie=armata_pdt_10.gif]

edit: If you read what they're all about, you'll want to buy from them even more.
