As you probably know, KWA's are all LiPo ready. However, if you plan on getting the KM4A1, the handguard has a very tight battery space, at least on the one i got. So i just sanded down the handguard and now im able to fit a mini 9.6v in it.
And with my experiences with LiPo, I love the ROF and trigger response you get from it, but they blow out really easy. Just  a heads up, if you plan on a LiPo, be very careful with them. like dont overcharge or discharge it.

yeah "lipo-ready" and all the promises of immortality that comes with it..

i am aware of the benefits and drawbacks with both types of batteries, i just have to decide on which i am going to stick with

i am most likely going to try out a lipo if i can find what i am looking for, if i'm not comfortable with it then i can always switch to the 9.6v nimh

While you said you were most likely going with the KWA, I thought I would give you my opinion anyways. I have no experience with KWAs but have been airsofting with people that have. They're outstanding guns. ROF FPS and looks are great. I have no experience with G&P at all. But, I do own a GI custom G4-A3 DMR, which is based off of G&G. It has a good ROF, good FPS, and even being plastic, great durability. If I had to choose between a full metal KWA or a full metal G&G, I would go with the G&G.

G&P and KWA are great ways to go. Both high quality and reliable.

I like G&P the best.

Woah! This is almost a year old, I think they may have chosen by now. But agreed G&P and KWA > G&G. (internally anyways)

Leave it to the Young-uns to dig this up. ;)

I have 2 KWA GBB's, wouldn't go with anything else. Haven't tried any of their AEG's though.

This has been dug up enough some i'm just going to throw in some incite when the next group in a year reads this. They both have good and bad. I have had both and  i would prefer kwa over a g&g blow back.

Pros for KWA
beefy and i mean with extra beef gears, and they are heat treated.
Easy to shim when stock took 2 shims
Convertible barrel on the KM4A1
Compression like a virgin
TBB stock
Trigger response with 11.1 and no mosfet
decent motor

Cons
Actually broke the head off one of the gear box screws(not enough meat between shank and head)Quit laughing those are the correct terms
No magpul motor grips
Two piece hop up but i don't care because i haven't had feeding issues
upper receiver uses tabs instead of a lip that goes underneath the lower(this is a big one if it was made of pot metal) but since it is Al, it has a less likeliness of fracturing like he pot metal receivers.

Pros g and g
Lighter due to magnesium instead of Al, i prefer Al since RS is
Blow back if it gets your panties in a bunch
Function forward assist to release tension
Al piston head
Oring air nozzel
one piece hop up
Low resistance wiring(but i don't think that is really going to matter too much)

cons
seen several with motor height problems
trigger issues on ocassion
Blow back mechanism on makes you use g and g bodies
proprietary anti reversal latch
Haveto run hotter spring than other guns due to blowback.

Anymore pros or cons go ahead and add, i'm not a fanatic i have just had both of these guns recently and a prefer the kwa thats why i still own it.

KWA hands down.

have you considered a Classic Army? those are probably better than G&G and G&P (my opinion) and their crane stocks can hold the biggest batteries.

very old post by the way.

My G&P has been kicking with everything but the spring stock for over 4 years now. Amazing parts, amazing finish, amazing gun overall.
