series of airsoft ops near Prescott - starting 9-3-11

Exordium is the first chapter of Outbreak 2011. As you know the civil war in Libya has drawn in NATO, supporting the rebels. Colonel Gaddafi is hanging on but increasingly desperate. Intel suggests he's attempting to reactivate a WMD program supposedly surrendered in 2004 - but is it chemical, biological or nuclear ?
We'll have NATO forces, Gaddafi loyalists and mercenaries, and Role-players (rebels, smugglers, goat herders, etc.).
This Op is free, open for ages 14 and up, and we'll have a prize-raffle.

for Exordium : Wadi al-Ubari  Gaddafi's WMD lab is hidden somewhere nearby, likely underground, most of the terrain is too open for an approach - the Lab's guards and air defenses would be alerted so the plan is for a stealthy force on foot through the Wadi with help purchased from a local smuggler-guide ...

It should be there - there was already something there on the 20th but my entry was showing up before.
I just checked, it looks good to me ...
Warrior Down is down south, Exordium is in the mid-state area.

UPDATE - this battle of Wadi al-Ubari has been rescheduled for Saturday September 3



and "the Outbreak" will be coming in October November !

Teams taking on the role of Gaddafi loyalists should plan on wearing camo in desert/tan/coyote, black, or any African army/merc type pattern while NATO forces can use American and NATO patterns (greens and grays preferably).

Dreadnought Adventures recommends using biodegradable bb's and supports safe and reasonable weight/FPS limits -
 
guns 350 FPS and under with .2g (i.e. most stock models) safety-distance [minimum engagement distance] of 20 feet
and SMG's should use pellets .23g or under, these fast-full auto firing guns have a safety-distance of 25 feet

upgraded/assault rifles (considering the effect of full auto)  max 420 FPS with .2g , .3g pellets at the most , safety-distance of 30 feet

sniper rifles (no auto-fire) 560 FPS with .2g , .4g pellets at the most , safety-distance of 60 feet (bring a sidearm and use it for CQB)

Grenade-launchers with .12g safety-distance 20 feet , and .2g need 30 feet minimum - we recommend using foam 'rockets' which we count as having a 15 foot lethal radius.

Dreadnought Adventures has the scenario for Exordium "in the bag" but several factors including weather have intervened, we've rescheduled the battle for "Wadi al-Ubari" to Saturday September 3rd, the week after we return from Operation Broken Arrow (in New Mexico.)

and the Outbreak is coming in October November 26th

It was good enough although honestly they kind of dribbled in and out, some guys got off work around noon, some had to leave in the early afternoon, etc. - it made having a true scenario event hard. All total about 20 players, and 3 neutral role-players (the smuggler and his bodyguard). I ended up too busy trying to keep things on track that taking pictures fell by the wayside - we had a miscommunication and one team took off almost half a mile down the road ... overall the game concept seemed sound but as producer my execution was flawed (it would have helped to have a dedicated referee too) ... the day also turned out to be fiendishly hot, several guys needed a pause.

For the Halloween game, can we get some restrictions/more info? Does bring any costume mean that you have a group of navy seals walking around in zombie and Dracula outfits?
