AEG full auto malfunction - Helps plz!
« on: January 28, 2014, 12:14:34 PM »
So I recent dropped new upgraded gear boxes into my AK's, and have encountered a problem, with both. The selector switch will switch to full auto just fine, and when I pull the trigger, it shoots on full auto. But once I release the trigger, and give it another squeeze, it only shoots semi(without me moving the selector switch). And when I switch it to semi, it works how it should.

Any ideas on why my full auto keeps changing to semi on me? Did I just f something up with the selector switch?

it is very possable that you have the gears that control the selector switch off by a tooth or 2. when you switch it it goes into the right position but with the vibrationof shooting it, the selector plate settles and it falls into semi auto, (the switch doesnt have to move for this to happen.)

What do you mean by off? You mean not straight in the gearbox?

Sorry for being nub, new to teching. I really appreciate the help!

the levers on the side of the gb that control the position of the selector switch need to be in the exact right position otherwise  they wont function properly. you have to make sure all the teeth on those levers are aligned in just the right spot, even being off by one tooth can cause your selector to act funky.

these are the gears/levers that im talking about.
