Recommending a tech
« on: July 18, 2012, 07:18:07 PM »
If anyone is having trouble and need a tech, contact Dust2Dust on the forum. He installed a spring flawlessly and is great with soldering as well. In 12 hours I dropped off my gun and my lipo and picked it up in perfect condition and no technical problems. If anyone needs anything done he can do it for you for a decent price.

A 510fps spring? Like an M160?   Who would allow that?  That's immoral as hell, btw.

Where are you located? I need some work done and most of the techs on here that I know of are located in the west valley.

Scottsdale.

@rictas, thought you were referring to shooting hot at 510. Still, 450?  May have been a while since I played, is that allowed?  Rules were 400 max with .2. I'm not going to put a spring in and then you can't play. I'll read up on local rules again...

It's only ok if he permanently disables the full auto function and makes it a semi-auto only sniper rifle.  He would have to make those permanent modifications to the internals of the gun.

trying to permanatly eliminate full auto in that gun wouldnt be as easy as a v2/v3 gb.
it is closely related to the v6 platform and the cutoff lever in those can sometimes be skechy.
i took my cut off lever out of my p90 because it was having problems.
i havent had the chance to tear into a fn2000 gb/trigger assembly yet but i will eventualy.

how you been dust?

Also, thought I'd come up with some rates:
$20/hr min.  I can accomplish most of what you need done in that time frame. If I quote you 2 hours, and it takes me 6, you only pay for 2.  If I quote 6 and it takes me 2, you pay for two.

I'm not here to screw anyone. I enjoy this as a hobby, and a little extra coin in my pocket. Rush jobs are possible, too.

Cash only, or a bottle of black label lol.

Will also do real fire arms as well-not certified, but I can do just about whatever you need done on a Glock, M4, or AK...  Amazing what you learn when you work only 3 hours a night during hockey season, lol.
