Hey everyone,
I am 30 and relatively new to Arizona, originally from Austin, Texas. I have been into military/tactical gaming for a while and with the help of friends have been recently introduced to Airsoft. I have been reading through the forums for the last few weeks and have finally just registered. Great site and very informative! I hope to meet up with some of you local guys soon. Also, I am in North Scottsdale so if anyone would like to meet up and talk Airsoft over a couple of beers let me know.

Thanks for the welcome.  Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I have not ordered anything yet.  But this is what I've narrowed it down to and will be ordering from Airsplat.com next week.

Hello there, by the way. I've heard that is one hell of a gun. I think you will like it. Classic Army have some excellent guns on the market.

AIRSPLAT SUCKS!!!  I ordered a new ICS M4 for my wife, they show online its in stock (at the time) I order it, 6 days later I get an email saying it on back order.  That was on July 10th, still no gun.  Same thing when I went to order a new motor, out of stock....

ICS? Ugh, why get an ICS gun? They can literally fall apart.

SRC's are pretty good. Hawkeye bought one while back on leave. They are heavy sturdy and good accuracy. You just need to remember to make suer they are lubed inside. I guess SRC doesn't send them from the factory lubed. (Might have been one that slipped past QT too.)

but for the price it's hard to beat.

I have an ICS gun also, It is one of the sr 16 styles. And I love it, I dont think you know what you are talking about because they ARE built well I have never had a problem with mine and I've used it quite a bit. Also, I have only heard of one or two peoples ICS guns messing up badley (Nate for one). The other mess up was with his trigger conection to the motor. But I have heard problems with most the guns so some problems are expected.
    A few things that an ICS gun can provide that most TM guns can't is the metal body the only TM gun that has a metal body is the tommy gun. Also, The version 2 gearbox is a wonder how you can crack it open easily change the parts in less than half the time. I had never had any experiance with guns and I put in my tightbore without any help. So if your talking sh*t about guns atleast know what your talking about.

Hey, personal preference I guess. But a team I'm friends with bought 3 ICS guns. All three were falling apart within a two week span. No abuse, just normal use. Not quite what I would call durable.  :?

I see there are a few hardcore ICS fans here... Heh, back up where I'm from. You don't see too many. Up here in Michigan, it's more or less all Tokyo Mauri, G&G Armament, or Classic Army. I rarely if ever see ICS.

The only issue I've had is the gun failing to fire on semi, and the motor sounds like a typewriter when it fires.  Other than that, no problems.

True, but than again. My friends are not the only people to slam ICS for poor construction.

My personal opinion being if I pay over $200.00 on something. It better last for a while.

But if it floats your boat, then go for it.

Ahh. Sorry man, but I have an ICS M4. Full metal body blah blah blah...It takes upgrades like a champion, and has no barrel wobble. Now this isn't any better (or worse) than CA or TM. Your gun (or, the gun that will be yours) is a great gun, but so is mine. And if it breaks within two weeks. Obviously it was a mistake on your part or the manufacturers. The ICS guns will troop it out for you.

Just a tip for the future. Be carefull when you ask about this gun or that gun. Ask more than just your group of friends, because everyone has had different experiences and different opinions. I used to hate Classic Army because someone told me they sucked, and they had a dud gun. But after a while the number of people that said they were good, outweighed the number of people that said they were bad.

Heh, as I said, personal preference.

Seeing those guns in pieces, and knowing that they were hardly ever used really made me think. I believe I will stick with the opinion I have formed.
