Mesa Airsoft
« on: January 21, 2012, 09:09:50 PM »
Hey guys Legion7 here, yeah i am new. Since Hatfield A.O. is too far for me and my group, we still hold airsoft wars 2 a month, except this month (we are paintballing) on Saturday mornings. PM me or something for details, Like i said i am new, but i will be checking this site pretty much everyday as airsoft is my passion. We will gladly play against groups. On my side i have about 15 people, consistently 8-10 people everytime.

IF you're located in Mesa where do you guys play at? Just be prepared to drive to some places when trying to find fields to play at. Anyway I think I told you about the forums on youtube, correct?

I posted this somewhere before but this would be a good time to review. In regards to Mesa's policies they are the following;

CITY OF MESA LAWS ON BB GUNS
Title 6, Chapter 1 & 10

Mesa Law on BB guns. Title 6, Chapter 1, Section 6-1-15, subsection D   http://mesaaz.gov/clerk/CodeBook/CodeinWord/T6/T6Ch1.doc

Mesa Park Laws on BB guns. Title6 , Chapter 10, Section 6-10-3, subsection U.  http://www.mesaaz.gov/clerk/codebook/CodeinPDF/T6/T6Ch10.pdf

What, you actually think they're going to read that? Even if they did, you think that would stop them? Sooner or later they'll learn the hard way. Whether it be they're arrested and carted home to mommy and daddy or shot by an officer who thinks his life is in danger at the hands of a 15 year old with a military style carbine, I just dont foresee these little wargames in the park ending well. At all.

Aww man, and here I was all psyched up for my jousting tournament this weekend. But no, we can't even throw javelins in a Mesa park? What fascists.

I like to treat everyone with a minimum level of respect until respect is lost, thus in doing so I had hoped to educate them by linking the laws set forth by their community.  If they can't make a reasonable determination then I'll spell it out for them, DON'T DO IT!

Some cities have laws on bb guns while others do not, why is this?  Because someone, somewhere, at one time lacked reasonable judgment and so the community felt it absolutely necessary to spell it out for them and others that their actions have punishable consequences. In the end, everyone pays for the actions of a few. My hope is that the few, return some of that basic respect and not ruin the hobby for all.

Thank you Mad Sarge. We actually play at the desert near the park at Red Rock Park. Would any of you guys know the boundaries that those laws apply to parks?

Thats not the point. The point is you should be playing on private property that YOU own or have permission to use. You should only be playing at sanctioned fields.

Partly true. My point is, make sure you know the laws that regulate the land you are utilizing, whether it be public or private lands. There are plenty of places to play on public lands.
In this case, the area near the park is located within the City of Mesa and the law regarding airsoft is clearly defined in Mesa's Municiple Code.

Mesa Law on BB guns. Title 6, Chapter 1, Section 6-1-15, subsection D   http://mesaaz.gov/clerk/CodeBook/CodeinWord/T6/T6Ch1.doc

Here is a map of Mesa's boundries.
