That HK is freaking sexy. I hope to get one soon. Is it really worth the high price tag though?

If it's a straight hk id say yes. The price on there upper alone no. That's coming from being an owner of hk products and a gunsmith. Kind of curious how you got a hk trigger group in that lower

Here is my Arsenal SGL31-61. On there is a Midwest Industries SS Extended Hand Guard, Magpul AFG, Eotech 512, Hogue Grip, Vltor Stock Adaptor, and a Magpul CTR (Mil-spec). I am almost done with it. All that is left is a Krebs Enhanced Safety, Surefire G2X on a offset mount, and a Tapco G2. Can you say tacticool AK? 8)

this is my latest build. I made this rifle to be as light as possible well still holding accuracy.
Lower Specs:
Started off as a new frontier polycarb lower. I completely gutted it replacing everything. Went with a P.O.F. 4.5 drop in competition trigger group, Magpul/ Noveske ambi 60° selector, magpul 2 tone MIAD and UBR, a king armory enhanced buffer and buffer spring and a Troy ambi bolt release.
Upper specs:
The upper is a PSA A4 striped receiver with B.T.E. dust cover and teardrop forward assist, Spikes tactical m16 bcg, KAC 1:9 hammer forged barrel dressed with a KA-1222 and a gas block I machined my self, for a rail I went with a YM-500 and also went with a YM gas tube.
Optics:
For my optics I went with a Eotech 557 with GG&G cover and an Aimpoint 3XMag with a LaRue LT755

Specs:
Pretty soft wood (might be pine or fir)
Hand carved grip, for comfortable swinging and hitting
Almost done with the grip up top, so I can block with both hands

Golly, I'll bet someone might be looking at this very public board and wondering what time you go to work or school..... It'd be a hell of a note to find a loved one dead because some thief ran into them at home in the process of stealing YOUR guns y'all get such a hard-on posting pics of. What kind of home defense is that?

Have you visited arizonashooting.com? Take a look at their forums. Posting pictures of real guns is no dofferent than posting pictures of your airsoft guns.

Except you don't post event start and end times, or the excuses (that usually put you out of the house) on Arizona Shooters. I contend that posting pics of airsoft guns is a bit less dangerous. Don't think the cartels or some meth head wants to mess with guns that shoot plastic BBs and that are worth a fraction of real steel and hard to sell. Just a thought.

So, people troll the internet looking for gun owners who post pictures of their guns, only so they can go hunt them down in real life to steal said guns?
Makes about as much sense as using a loaded bullet to replace a blown fuse. Sure, some nut-job out there will try it.. but they'll likely die trying.
Plus... if people wanted a list of houses with things to steal in them, all they'd have to do is look on this forums "show off your gear thread", or more to the point, on the average person's facebook.
They post their new cars/iphones/tvs/computers/cameras/etc, AND they post when and where they are via foursquare, twitter, and other apps, AND post enough personal information to be able to find out where they live... and yet facebook, as a country, would be the 5th biggest country in the world by population.

Thanks. I wanted to make as light as a rifle as I could well with staining performance and durability. With a loaded 30rd mag she weighs a few oz over 6lbs

If I were a robber, I don't think I'd want to rob a house that belongs to a (possibly trained) gun owner... Just my logic...

Light rifles are my favorite haha. My friends have some HEAVY guns. I don't have an "assault" rifle yet, but when I finally drop the cash when the market comes back down I'm staying as light as possible.

Assault rifles/ assault weapons have been banned since 1986. Unless your looking to fork out a minimum of $15'000 you just arnt going to get one. What your thinking of is simply a semi auto rifle. The NFA act of 86 all assault refiles/ assault weapons made from then on were banned from civilians. About 8 years later when everyone forgot about this ban the egg heads in Washington decided to start calling a new group of guns assault weapons thinking no one would remember that in fact assault weapons were in fact allready banned. Sorry to go off on a rant. Every time someone says something like that its like I have been stabbed in the heart.

Remington 700 AAC-SD: currently a work in progress. Just recently threw the manners T4A DBM chassis on it and have been running different loads through it to figure out what it likes before I send it off to have the action and bolt lugs/face trued, mini chassis skim bedded, along with some other other goodies. So far I've been grouping sub MOA with 175 SMKs and 175HPBT but want to handload some rounds with 175 bergers when I get the chance and take it out to the desert.

Updated the HK upper a little bit by switching to a Nikon scope and an atlas bipod to help with longer range shooting. So far really liking this build.
