Operation: First Strike

The Back Story: http://steelrainairsoft.weebly.com/events/update-steel-rain-milsim-events

It’s two days after a successful UFR battle for the high ground in the first push to shut down the ARC forces in Arizona. The UFR officers have decided they need to gather some intel on the ARC encampment and shut down all the communication to the main ARC headquarters whose location is unknown. A small UFR recon team is sent out with a UAV to do the scouting, followed by a squad of UFR soldiers whose mission is to take out the ARC communication station.

Mission: The UFR must infiltrate and destroy the ARC force’s communication station, located just north of the ARC encampment on top of a ridge. [UFR forces must take the area marked as the ARC communication station and hold it for 1 hour. If held for 1 hour the UFR forces will have taken control of ARC communications, downloaded all valuable intel, and destroyed the remaining tech, intern completing the job and ending that mission.] If the UFR forces are successful in this endeavor their next mission will be to locate and retrieve a high ranking UFR officer who was taken hostage a few days earlier. [More information on that during the briefing at the location.] If all these are accomplished then the UFR forces will be given the green light for a full on assault to drive all of the ARC forces out of the area.

Location: The location chosen for the MilSim is located at Larson Canyon, Coconino County. When on the 260 you will get off on the 99 and head north until you get to the 170. Turn left onto the 170 and drive to the next turn which will be a left onto the 172. Once you turn onto the 172 you will only have to drive a short distance before you start seeing signs and airsofters pulled off at the UFR encampment and briefing area.

Valley Caravan/Meet-Up Location: We will be meeting at the Circle K in Fountain Hills at 0630 on May 23 before heading out. If you wish to meet up there and caravan with us, feel free to do so. We will be leaving at 0650 so if you are not there by that time you’ll have to drive to the location by yourself.

Timeframe: We will meet at Larson Canyon, Coconino County at 0930. The debrief of the event will start promptly at 0945. Once the debrief is over the factions will move to their prospective areas to set up camp and the operation will begin at 1200. We expect to be airsofting for two days and through the night so come prepared for some night fights as well. These missions will easily take up both days as more missions will be coming in as time progresses. We will end the airsofting at 1200 on May 24 to give people plenty of time to pack up and head home early.

What to Bring: As we will be camping and it is a 2-day operation you will need to bring your own food, your own tents and sleeping bags, and generally just all your own equipment. If you're not prepared for this type of MilSim then I would not suggest making the trip out.

Field Rules:
-Semi-Auto Only (Exception for those with LMGs)
-420 max FPS w/ .25 bbs (Snipers have a 550 max FPS, 20 feet surrender zone)
-Red Dead Rag
-Water to Stay Hydrated

Op sounds interesting guys, however you may want to take some time and proof read your post again.

Here, this should help:

Also, your FPS rules don't list what bb weight they correspond with, could you please clarify?

Thanks for the catch on the bb weight, I have added that. I looked at both your links and yes that is the correct location. Was there a question I could answer about it?

The directions were just very confusing, (map shows left turns, you said right) so I wasn't sure where you were talking about. Sounds like I got it right though.

What sort of turnout are you expecting? I'd hate to make the trip for a small game.

Right now it looks like we will have somewhere between 10-15.

OK put me down tentatively for Green Team. This AO is more than two hours away from me so I would prefer to get a turnout closer to 30-40 if I'm going to make the trip.

Can I get Positive Confirmation that the point on the Map below is where the game is at, and thus where we need to go?
We will not be meeting at the Circle K as we will be coming from a different direction and need to make absolutely sure we know where we are going.

Campfires will be allowed in the area we are going to. Also if you could confirm the number of people you have estimated to come and what team you'll be playing for that'd be great!

Is there an age limit or entry price?

No to both. Just need to have the right gear, an understanding of what's going on, and a mature attitude.

1+ For multicam looks like my teammates are dipping out on me :/.
Also looks like Lion Claws is taking up a lot of potential people, just to point out.

Yeah the next operation will be a day trip, probably closer to Payson or the I-17, and not during a Lion Claws event.

I doubt you'll see this in time but just in case you check the forums before you you go out do you know what Circle K it is, I always used to meet up at the Chervoron Gas Station for the 4 Peaks Games. I'll probably find it theres only two but it would make things a little bit easier if I knew before hand. Ethier way I'll see you up there.
